Tip: Log in with Google and give "skip" to the survey .
Boxer CT was a precursor to the CT100 series. It is different in terms of Bore & Stroke (and hence engine displacement)
Length, width, Wheelbase, Petrol tank capacity etc. among other things.

This one has a Ktec engine like Caliber / Boxer CT/AT/AR (I forget which) also don't ask me the difference between CT/AT/AR, I don't think I remember or even know.[emoji12]

I have a 1st generation Bajaj CT 100 DX, these didn't have KTec written on the clutch cover. They had 18" wheels and regular rear suspension, ride control switch.

The 2nd generation Bajaj CT 100s came with Rear SNS (Spring in Spring) suspension, 17" wheels and Exhaustec engines, with a little black device on the underside towards the front of the engine.

The SNS stuff, 17" wheel is still around on the new CT100 and Platina ES.

I'll be going to Rajasthan on this bike with my friend from 16th December. Starting from Mumbai. We will be covering most cities of Rajasthan. I need some ideas regarding how to mount luggage. Even though I'm a very light traveller, I think I'll have to carry significant luggage since it is a 16 day trip.

I was thinking a ruksack bag behind and tieing it with bungee chord and one tank bag in front. What do you guys reckon?

Well, I'm not sure if this is the right place but yesterday, I bought my CT100ES. Blue-black paint with alloy wheels and self start. Got for 46300/- OTR Faridabad.
I needed some suggestions regarding the side bag (the box to carry luggage) as my dad will also be riding the bike.
And, a couple of pics that I clicked today morning:

Guys, I'm encountering a weird problem. I've ridden 450 kms now, but yesterday I found some petrol to be leaking from what seemed an overflow pipe (black colored). After that, the bike is constantly stalling on traffic.
Plus, the fuel gauge has gone mad. I filled petrol worth 500/- (power) on last Sunday, then 200/- worth of (normal) petrol yesterday and it's showing reserve now. That equates to ~44kmpl😔
Is it gonna increase or have I been sold a faulty unit?
          :D

Your bike is due for it's first free service. If possible stay back while the service is being done. Inform the guys there about this issue. Send a pic of the black pipe where it is leaking from, point an arrow or something.
Don't worry. It will be fine.

What kind of side box do you want? There are hard fibre ones, and rexine ones. There are some sleek ones which are much smaller in size that can be fixed in the rear mudguard underneath the number plate.

My dad would be using the bike for office use. So, I'm actually looking for a hard box, for the purpose of daily commute

Turn off the petrol from the fuel cock.
Get a small bowl or container.
Then using a slotted screw driver (regular screw driver), unscrew the screw highlighted in yellow.
Let the contents of the carburettor chamber drain out into the small bowl.
Start the fuel supply and simultaneously screw in the highlighted screw tightly.
The fuel leakage should stop and you would have done a cursory clean up of your carburettor float chamber.
The petrol is usually supernatant and the particulate matter or water is settled at the bottom.
You have an option to very carefully put back only the supernatant petrol and then discard the water/particulate matter, if any.

A short cut to get rid of the leakage is to tighten the screw without draining the chamber at all. In my personal experience, I find the method described at the beginning of the post to be helpful to me.

All the best. Do let us know when the issue gets resolved

First service done @ 500 kms. The problem did go away. The mechanic told me that 'petrol back kha gya'
What I reckon is that there may be more air in the fuel mix, and that might've led to this.
I'm in Bombay rn. I'll buy the box when I'm back home May. Mostly a Studds hard box

Have taken her to the highest of peaks and lowest of trenches, belted her on the highways like nobody's business without skipping a beat.

And then I decide to pressure wash her for the first time, now she idles fine but skips fires and shakes like crazy and gives out black smoke when I open the throttle, in short she idles fine but is un-ride-able.

Draining the carb and tank now.

                            Everything seems to be dry as far as I can see;

But if she still acts up when reassembled, what else should I look into?

                            Update:

If I let her idle for a while she picks up revs normally and I get to ride her for around 500 meters the firing becomes irregular and she resumes her tantrum.

Would be changing the plug tomorrow along with both brakes, brake cables and throttle cable. AF was changed earlier today.

black smoke is mostly indicative of a very rich mixture not burning away completely.
check the carb tuning, air filter and swap the plug too and check. take it for a spin without the airfilter and see if you notice any difference.

Indeed, due to the lack of proper firing most the fuel misfires.

Thumb rule is to leave carb tuning alone in the event of issues resulting from know causes.

Plugs would be swapped tomorrow as shops were closed today. Not a good idea to run without the AF especially since I live in a dusty area, wouldn't want my valve seating to go for a toss.
