Hi

What I would be interested is your comments along with pics of the accessories offered with SR 150 which would be useful for everyone who are waiting to get their hands to hold on it.

re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Congratulations Kanth! All the best with your new beauty.
Please give us a first hand report about the ride, is it actually very hard and stiff over our "perfect roads" as most of the reviews are stating? I am sure you must have checked the tyre pressure after taking delivery. Also, what is the recommended tyre pressure?
Thanks and ride safe.

HiOriginally posted by jyoti247 View PostWill the 1.2ps really matter in performance!! Anyone driven both scooters?
I had a back to back test ride of Aprilia SR 150 and Vespa SXL 150 with pillion. The power of both these scooters were amazing compared to all other 110's and 125's currently in the market. But in real life conditions both these machines has the similar power and pickup and its very hard to differentiate between these two.
But the ride quality is better in SR 150 compared to SXL 150 due to its bigger wheels. Its easy to cross the large speed breakers with a little breaking where we require a big punch in brake and great attention in case of all other scooters due to its smaller wheels. The riding position of SR 150 is also different compare to other scooters.

Hi,Originally posted by Ezilkannan View Postanyone in chennai got this? how's the service and fe?
I have pre - booked mine in mid july at Motoplex chennai and the first batch of vehicles has arrived at the store. But understand that overall Tamilnadu registration for this vehicle is pending and expected to get only by next week. Only after this process the dealer can initiate individual registration online. Few people has taken deliveries with "For Registration" sticker. But the motoplex staffs informed that this is completely on owners risk as the TN approval itself is not obtained yet. I am waiting for vehicle to registered first and take delivery. Also the accesories are not arrived yet which is coming by this week. So expect all these things to complete next week and taking delivery.
Rest other dealers in chennai has not yet recieved their first batch of vehicles.

Which city are you in?Originally posted by NinjaAssassin View PostI got a call from Aprilia and they told me to come for delivery. 83k on road price. It is 68k ex-showroom, i really dont know how it comes to 83k on road. Something is wrong.
I got a quotation of 78K on road (accessories included) and they said if I book now I'll be able to get a bike from the next batch which arrives sometime in November. I asked in Panvel, Maharashtra, Kian Motors.
I'm interested in this baby Aprilia so I'm glued to this thread for owner's feedback.
Cheers!

Anything that we the people who pre-booked need to know from your experience so far with the bike!!?Originally posted by Journeykanth View PostThe sleepless nights' wait is over.. Finally.
Having lusted for the aprilia RSV4 for years, i never thought owning an aprillia will realize so soon.
The day pricing was announced rushed to the MOTOPLEX showroom and booked it.. The day call for making payment was received, bunked office to accommodate the payment formality... bugged the sales person beyond limit.. And now she's here..
The striking looks and performance to match with, this SR 150 is worthy of all the praise it has got all along.. Experienced it first hand while taking delivery and riding back home.. Throughout the roads, the signals in Society.. Definitely happy and overjoyed for this purchase... And then a new bike coming home is always special

all i can tell you is you all gonna love this thing to the core! Spot on handling, striking looks and not so good mileage..Originally posted by jyoti247 View PostAnything that we the people who pre-booked need to know from your experience so far with the bike!!?
I had filled it to the brim and when i refilled it took down 4.75L of petrol. The distance covered was 176.
Mileage calculation looks like this:
176kms/4.75L = 37kmpl
Its decent number for the power and considering i have ridden two up mostly. Certainly it will improve after first service but then its not going to be economical by any means....
That asks me to make three points more,
1. It is ideal to ride alone mostly for better part of your first 1000 kms.. since engine is new, you shouldn't be loading with extra stress when it is setting in.
2. The service. and this is a little bitter part. You get 4 free and 5 paid services, meaning every alternate service is chargeable. The odd numbers are free (1,3,5,7). Service cost i shall give an update as I go for first service.
3. The Pune Motoplex showroom has started stocking accessories it seems. Today i saw a aprilia branded helmet with SR150 embossing. The thing carried a price tag of INR 2744/-. Padding seemed fine but its Vega make. The graphics are super cool but then sturdiness will have to be seen.
and yes, be prepared for a stiffly suspended ride.. The scoot is not shoulder friendly on bad roads.Last edited by Journeykanth; 09-27-2016, 05:31 PM.

Thanks a lot for the details.. I got the quote from Kolkata dealer today and looks fishy.Originally posted by Journeykanth View Postall i can tell you is you all gonna love this thing to the core! Spot on handling, striking looks and not so good mileage..

ExShowroom price is 71,493/-
Insurance - 2129/-
RTO (Registration + Lifetime Road Tax) - 15,056/- looks too high
Smart Card - 550/-
H.S.R.P - 500/- ( I don't know what??)
On-road - 89,729/-
Looks like something is being cooked at the dealership and I will write to Aprilia to clarify as road tax isn't so high in Kolkata. They are cooking up stories around foreign brand, temp registration, 150cc etc.
Also, the dealership told that whoever booked it from the dealership will get it in first batch of 16 bikes arriving on 3rd Oct. While I received a call today from Aprilia (2nd call) to confirm that they are dispatching my bike and dealership will do rest of formalities. I will include this as well in my email to Aprilia.
Can some x-bhpians please help me get quotations from others parts of India.. I want to compare this RTO piece. Can't digest this 15k roadtax. It will be of great help. Even can you share the same for Pune.Last edited by jyoti247; 09-27-2016, 07:12 PM.

re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
This is what I wrote to them today!!
1. I booked SR150 on 22nd Aug via Paytm, Order No - xxxxxxxxxxxx. The dealer in Kolkata "Speed Auto" informed me today that my vehicle isn't there in the first lot of bikes reaching Kolkata on 3rd Oct. Also that the people who booked via the dealership first will get it first. I will get it in subsequent batch of bikes by mid to end of October. Could you please confirm if my Bike is in the first batch of scooters being sent to your Kolkata dealership as I received a call today from Aprilia that bike has been allotted to me and the dealership will now do the required formalities.
2. I received this quotation from the dealer today and the RTO (Road Tax) charge of over 15,000/- sounds unreasonably high considering it isn't this high even at your Bangalore dealership which has the highest road tax in India. Could you please validate this for me? For a bike with ExShowroom price of 71,493/- it shouldn't exceed 7-8 thousand at the maximum. Even a Bajaj Pulsar 150 with ExShowroom price of 76,408/- has a Onroad Price of 88,580/- including all those fees as quoted by your dealer. Considering that the ExShowroom price of Pulsar is almost 5,000/- INR costlier than SR 150. Still the Onroad Price of Bajaj Pulsar 150 is lower than the quoted amount of your dealer "Speed Auto". So I would expect the Onroad Price of SR150 in Kolkata to be in the range of 82,000/- to 83,000/-. Is something cooking at your dealership? I leave it to you to answer. As far as I know, RTO won't differentiate between Pulsar150 or SR150 as both are manufactured in India. Your dealer tried to convince me with costs for RTO, road tax, registration, temp registration etc but I am not convinced as the same applies to all other bikes being sold in Kolkata. Something is not right.

re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
According to this link, road tax should be 12%
Everything you need to know about Karnataka Road Tax in India. How to pay Road Tax for Two Wheelers & Four Wheelers Vehicles Imported Vehicles.
which might be around 8500.
Add registration charges + misc of 1500.. So total shouldn't exceed 10k !!
