I am waiting for my to get delivered as the Registration is still pending.

Also the accessories are not available with any of the dealers in Chennai (except Side Stand). Understand from the dealer that they are still waiting for the accessories to be received from the factory. They even dont have any clue of when they will receive it. Will booking I opted for Mobile Charger and Floor Mat for which I should wait for some more time. I thought of getting the Floor Mat at least to prevent for scratches from mud shoes while the following is Monsoon season in Chennai.

Is that the case for all other cities except Pune ?

This is really unfair that a that PVPL is still not supplying any accessories for first batch of vehicles.

The First thing which attracted me is this Floor Board Aprilia Sticker.

But now I am Surprised to that the Sticker quality is very poor as it came out with in a month. Have to tried complaining about this to Aprilia/PVPL. Is this replaceable ?
I also wonder if the same happens with the Duke.

The tyres are perfect for dry asphalt.... Lack of grooves doesn't allow water to escape easily. Hence the large surface area and lack of weight on the bike would cause the bike to slip.

Regarding front brakes. U need to use the continuous motion braking to avoid locking.

PS... Need to check my stickers..
I did not fall per say. But it was scary.. the other times i had such skids were in parking lots where the flooring is slippery anyway. That said, you are right with the grip thing.

The front does not have any travel. You pump you brake; no gap in between. No progression. For a 60kmph speed it kills speed pretty quick and fine but at slow speeds it simply halts the vehicle.. Nothing that can bother but that is how it behaves... I have had pretty good run of over 1Lakh kms on R15 and Karizma before. Its just that the bike is tuned differently.

Same with the suspensions. They have almost not taken into account the Indian roads. This thing glides on a well laid tarmac but put it on bad roads and your wheels jumps all over. Have to be extra vigilant with the grips.

@cybusiness2 I dont feel much can be done by the company for my case. But i will raise it. Hope it is taken up as a feedback. I plan to get radium stickering to replicate the original for footboard.

Agree with ye.... It lacks the "indian-ization" [emoji14]
... They could have softened the suspension a bit tho.... Even the rear gives this loud thud on bumps and potholes.

Radium for the footboard... Would look pretty attractive..... I made my own mat for the floor asked for a meter from the rolls used at malls and large spaces

Did u get any accessories so far?

Does anyone face jerking and vibrations at low rpms and initial throttling?

re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences

Got delivery of the SR150 yesterday. The suspension can't be compared to a motorcycle, my jupiter has softer suspension but I don't like anything on offroads after the Himalayan. As far as scooters are concerned it really is leaps ahead. Sound is subjective but I like the sound of Dukes and SR150 i feel sounds a bit like that. Breaks are definitely good. Does 70 kmph effortlessly and I will have to keep an eye on it during running for which I need to ride below 75kmph. Surprisingly i was expecting a 50 kmph limit.

The dealer attitude was pathetic. They don't know much about the bike and how to handle customers. I paid ₹ 79840 but am yet to receive the bill. Was given only tax invoice which has ex showroom price and vat added to it.

I too wanted to change the rear indicators to Duke's but will do it later. The headlight seemes adequate. I am skeptical of increasing wattage on stock setup.

Its too early but do we get 14 inch tires anywhere in India. I guess this is the only vehicle with this tire spec.

The instrument cluster reminds me of GTA vice city scooter. combined with the sound I feel like that. Anybody else had similar feelings?

Unfortunately you need to learn better braking practice, why the front brake is more effective in braking the vehicle ? because when decelerating the weight transfers to front wheel and which will generate more friction with more load hence better ability to stop. But if you grab a handful of front lever before the weight transfers to front wheel (the suspension goes down while weight transfer to front) it will definitely lock.
So start progressively on front lever (some advise two finger but its personal preference) as the weight transfers to front you can apply more force gradually.

Your front suspension and your forward movement while braking will indicate how much more force you can apply. This applies to asphalt on rain, which to modern Tyre surprisingly sticks better than we expect.

If you doing these correctly and still the front skids than two things check your front Tyre pressure and warmup your Tyre few km riding carefully on curves and braking. Tyre need to warmup before it can reach optimal function. Don't rely on road side pressure fill up as they overfilled every-time. There is nothing like brake with eager bite : XD.

                          Aprilia SR 150 - Performance Loaded !

Got the delivery yesterday. Hopeless customer service from the dealership at rajajinagar vespa. They had delivered the vehicle with just 2 spoonful of fuel. The vehicle coughed and stopped in the middle of the road in just 3kms. Called them up immediately and humiliated them. Told them that I'm ready to do 500rs donation if they are not able to afford fuel for the next few new customers. People going to take delivery, please carry some fuel with you. These dealers are worse than beggars.Click image for larger version

Regarding the stiffness of rear suspension... Can't that be replaced with a softer suspension from any other bikes on the Indian road??

Don't kill me for this question.. just out of curiosity!!!

Go back in time for 15 - 18 yrs and you would realise that the front brakes are just an unused accessory in the Bajaj scooter dominated market given to add symmetry to the vehicle. 😋

But with better bikes hitting Indian roads, the braking has also improved but even today I see people who use the front brakes exactly the same way as a rear brake!!! That's definitely dangerous not just for them but for others around them on road...
