Agreed. I did test ride both Vespa 150 and Aprilia SR 150 - but surely Aprilia is peppier. Also it brakes with plenty of confidence - nearly like a motorcycle. Overall, I would recommend it above other ordinary stuff - unless you have so called practical considerations likeOriginally posted by jyoti247 View PostOn papers it may be 1bhp less than Vespa but it is still the peppier scooter than the Vespa siblings and the fastest too!! So, reconsider you descion to "reconsider buying an Aprilia"!! 😋
I am eagerly waiting for mine and it isn't fair for Aprilia to send scooters to eastern India at the last when everyone in south would have owned it. My dealer in Kolkata has no clue on when it will arrive and keeps saying end of Sep to be on safer side.
a) Carrying gas cylinders and tonnes of other day to day stuff on the floor board!
b) Going triple seat with wife and kid ( yes people do buy scooters for this even if it is not legal!!)
etc.....

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The one bhp less is recovered with the wheel radius. Larger wheels hence more road pull and a larger rotation.... The less bhp is used to keep the engine capable of handling a larger wheel rotation and giving optimal turns. So the clutch box is given less stress and the variator bell doesn't overheat.Originally posted by jeevan.chaukar View PostAgreed. Already doing lots of that stuff on bike, Ata piske laana, bazaar se dhania laana, triple seat is cool with friends, family with small kid triple seat is little difficult, but kid can stand on footrest. Not so much of utility value but we can make use of it if required.Originally posted by jeevan.chaukar View PostAgreed. During my last service the fuel pump was replaced. The scooter would behave as though no petrol was going in and was staving for gas in spite of full tank of petrol. The service engineer even got me to sign the form to claim for the free replacement which they would followup on. you will be able to find the same on google.

Most scooters have only shock absorber, taking into account their chassis design. Now, going over a speedbreaker at speed and landing hard would result in some form of loss of stability which depends on the road, the height of the hump etc. Secondly, check your tire air pressure, improper tire pressure can cause all sort of diabolic handling characteristics.

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Speedbreaker control is very essential for all riders. Common misconceptions and mistakes done are:Originally posted by rahul.martial View PostSometimes I feel bike to be unstable when I speedup after speedbreaker. Could it be because of monoshock ambiguous position. I find it weired to see shock absorber only at one side of backseat. Please pourin your views guys.
1. Breaking over a speed breaker.
2. Speeding and reflex halting at the base of a Speedbreaker.
3. Evading a Speedbreaker by speeding.
All the above lead to an unstable pickup after the Speedbreaker has been passed by. Scooters specially work on CVT. The clutch pulley has to work its way back up to the required gearing and hence a slight sluggish gain.
Balance will be off as the shocks have been compressed, and by having the engine and clutch box at the rear, weight is distributed way back and the balance shifted to the laws of gravity.
So the best way to ride over a bump is to slow down 5 to 6 meters before a Speedbreaker, break lightly till the bike reaches a nimble 5 to 10 kms at the Speedbreaker, release the brakes and let the scoot glide over the bump.
Not only will this save ur shocks, but your back too. And the ride will be a pleasant one.
