Nice point, I will keep check on tire pressure.
But still I find shock absorber placement weired, For me it should be centre aligned but in sr150 it is at left side .

    1. Breaking over a speed breaker.
    2. Speeding and reflex halting at the base of a Speedbreaker.
    3. Evading a Speedbreaker by speeding.

All the above lead to an unstable pickup after the Speedbreaker has been passed by. Scooters specially work on CVT. The clutch pulley has to work its way back up to the required gearing and hence a slight sluggish gain.

Balance will be off as the shocks have been compressed, and by having the engine and clutch box at the rear, weight is distributed way back and the balance shifted to the laws of gravity.

So the best way to ride over a bump is to slow down 5 to 6 meters before a Speedbreaker, break lightly till the bike reaches a nimble 5 to 10 kms at the Speedbreaker, release the brakes and let the scoot glide over the bump.

Not only will this save ur shocks, but your back too. And the ride will be a pleasant one.
Thank you for your suggestions, it will surely help me ride comfortably.

You're welcome. another mention.... Posture. Don't slouch or sit too stiff. Keep elbows close to ur body. And wear a light helmet. Yes helmet at all times. Riding gloves would be a boon too.

All cvt scooters have shocks at one end to cause of the clutch box. It's balanced at the point of highest weight.

      Ride safe.

      PS... Service regularly.

Shock absorber placement on the SR150 is in fact an eyesore, some like, some don't but it all boils down to the designers of the scooter and lots come into play into the placement and design of a shock absorber, which can change the entire geometry of the handling. So, either we'll have to adapt to it, or we can ditch this and get something that's aesthetically blended and offers good comfort.

        Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        THE END

What is that cut-cut sound we hear when we stop bike?
I recently started hearing it after I park it at the end of the day.
                  Is it engine or exhaust?

Catalytic converter cooling down and thereby contracting. It's common on all vehicles.

55/60 w will melt the reflectors due to extra heat. So try a brighter lumens Philips 35 w. Led bulbs look good. A friends installed em. They're blinding to others on the road tho. So best avoided for safety.

                          Hi guys,
Please parden me if I keep asking silly questions.

Is it common to get jerky stops for front disk brakes?
I have been using rear drum till now, since I am feeling little confident I have started using front disk, but most of the times in bike jams, I endup having jerky stop for using front brakes.
Am I braking too abruptly when it comes to front disks?

The scooter nose dives ("jerky stops") due to telescopic fork type front suspension + disc brakes. I think it is normal behavior - just like the motorcycles. Try to lessen the force you apply to the front discs and only use two fingers on the brake lever for disc brake. This way the severity of the nose dive can be reduced. For heavy stop-and-go city traffic, one can learn to not use the brakes at all (or) manage by feathering the brakes, i.e. using the minimal possible force. Read about correct and safe braking in the "The Art of Safe Riding".

u can get so many similar sounding replicas in the market.

I am looking for a thin pipe for the exhaust so that the back wheel is visible it looks good that way.

                              Something Akra GP.

What kind of LED bulbs, can you mention the brand and cost? I am sure with proper calibration it wont bother other people.
