Touched 120 today with a pillion this motorscooter was rock solid and the engine was the smoothest at that speed.
Even after 120 i still had half throttle left bit ran out of road.
As I gaze upon your beauty, I think to myself, "never have I seen an angel fly so low".

              Hello All,

Been about 3 weeks since i got the sr150 and been doing around a steady 60kmph wherever possible.
Now, am i allowed to ride at speeds higher than that as of now?

Have been told not to rip before touching 1000kms.

Also, i can feel a bit of strain in the engine once i try to go above 60kmph. Is it normal?

Has anyone taking it for a long ride?
Am planning for a 300kms+ trip shortly with my SR150. Is it feasible? Others say it may be a bad idea?

              Appreciate any help for this.

              Cheers!

Take it easy in the running in period i.e. first 1000 kms. The engine feels like its under strain but its not. Under hard acceleration it sounds like that. I have done a ride of 200kms on it with only one break. I loved it. Comfort is a personal thing though. If possible go for your ride after you complete running in. Watch out for potholes as above 60kph if you hit any speed breaker or pothole the front tire bottoms out. The cornering is fantastic. A lot of egos of many road romeos were crushed on my trip and I wasn't even racing. Hehehe. Brakes are sharp. Practice panic braking a few times and you will have a wonderful ride.

                    Hi,
You can go to higher speeds but make sure you have varrying acceleration.
Manual asks us to keep using bike with varying accelaration for first 1000km so that engine parts setup nicely.
I have done 150km stretch at once and bike was just getting started. SO i guess 300+ can also be done.
And just be more carefull with speed and brakes, you never realise before you are at 60+ speed.
One time my engine has started sounding little different but all it wanted was five minutes rest. Later it was running as usual.
                    Have safe and joyful ride.

                    Hi Lalit,

I am facing none of the issues.
Infact squsing sound from rear tyre has disappeared now.
I have started using rear and front brakes combinations and then rear brake sound has disappeared since it has no sudden load to deal with.
Pivilian seat is used more often in my bike as I drop my wife office on it, but I dont see that issue of pivilian seat in my bike.

Service guys should address the issues you are facing they just can't refuse an issue in bike.

Before leaving the service centre, check that the starter works and they have rectified your complaint. By "not working", I assume its turning/cranks but the engine doesn't start.

Got the second service done, the find that the issue lies with the battery. After battery replacement its working fine.

From: Aprilia To Introduce New SR Scooter In India By January 2017 - NDTV CarAndBike

When asked whether the new SR scooter will see any mechanical upgrades or change in power figures, Pelle said, "Let's just say that it will be a more peppier version of the scooter"
I wonder how a smaller engine could be peppier?

Though the 125 seems obvious (considering the engine is readily available from the Vespas), I hope it is something bigger/better than the SR150!

SRV 850 is already available in India. I have seen in Motexplex Chennai, where i have got my SR 150

I am done with 2500 Kms and I am done with my Second Service Today. I was charged Rs440.

I had crucial problem of Horn not working in the Morning. Initially though that it might be due to Horn Switch issue during cold morning. It has been fixed in the service. Got to know from service person that the horn has been tuned. The Engine has been bit tuned as well and now it is bit smooth. My SR 150 is lot better after the second service.

All the accessories has arrived at the dealership except the Ladies Footrest. I have installed Floor mat and Mobile charger. Got to know that Aprilia is still designing the Ladies Footrest which they have failed to do in Pre Production. Dealership informed that it will be available next month.

I have touched 120 kmph in a Highway with my bike and it pulls without any hesitation. The front apron is designed in such a way that it passes through the air easily where the other scooters might fail.

The stock OSRAM Headlight throw is not enough while riding in highways and roads where there are no street lights. I am planning to upgrade it to Philips Diamond Vision Moto or OSRAM Night Racer.

DOES ANY ONE KNOW GENUINE HEADLIGHTS DEALERS IN CHENNAI. I got to enquire few shops in GP Road and they do not have these bulbs and they got only cheap Chinese one.

Also any one tried changing the pilot lamps to LED ?
