So I booked on 22nd Aug and got the delivery on 21st Dec.. exactly 4 months waiting period.

Moreover, speed auto in Kolkata got 24 bikes in this lot and every damn piece was damaged someway or the other with scratches, torn seats, broken fibres etc.

I found one with minimal damage.. just a small paint off below the seat that's not visible and they promised to touch-up during first service.

How about others in Kolkata who got delivery?

Did u got any solution for that
went and had it checked from the service guys. first 2 times they said its from the rear brake. but i still got it even after they cleaned it. then i noticed that its coming from the front and informed them. they say its because of dust accumulating in the disc pad and it is a non-issue. each time i go and have it cleaned the sound goes off but it is back after 15 kms or so. i have done it four times till now, today being the fourth time and the sound is back already after riding for about 10 kms. i dont think they are aware of any solution to rectify it permanently and they were not willing to accept it as defect. i have absolutely no complaint about the performance of the bike and the performance of the brake but that squeaky sound is quite irritating.

For me its back brake, as you said it doesn't hurt performance anyway, but it is too annoying

Okay guys here are the pictures of the headlight mod i did. Bought the DRL from eBay for around Rs300.
What u need for the mod?
A Phillips head screwdriver, DRL tube from eBay, some electric tape, some double tape, and patience.

1 You have to get the front fairing off by in screwing all the fairing screws,(2 screws are kinda hidden .

                            2 Unscrew the headlight assembly.

3 You will need a heat gun or a hairdryer to heat the headlight assembly.
(Opening the headlight will take a lot of effort so be patient).

4 I fixed the DRL with some double tape since i did not wanted a fixed setup and will change the shape soon.

5 since i wanted to change the shape of the DRL again i sealed the headlight with a black electrical tape.

6 Fix the headlights assembly again on the front fairing.

7 Do not cut any wires just slip it in the connection gap of the w5w bulb wiring.

8 I removed the w5w bulb, if u want to keep it you can it, both work fine together.

9 Seal the wire which is now slipped into the w5w wiring with a electric tape.

                            Well done.

Hi guys did my first service at 300kms.
I got the service done at planet moto in Goregaon, the tech there had a very bad attitude, plus they just changed the oil and said the service is done, after which i spoke to their manager and got the full checkup done which was mentioned in the service manual.

Also there was some noise n vibrations coming from my rear wheel.
The company knows about it as it was a problem with few other SR as well and said that it will be replaced within a week.

Total amt spent was 460 which was nice n cheap.

The Tech also did some tuning to the Carb and the AFR screw.
Now there are very few vibration at now RPM or stand still.
The bikes acceleration is also improved.

I enjoyed my ride back home 😁

Beautifully done. Reminds me of an evil smiling face. Does the LED itself is a sticky type or have to be independently glued? Any idea about the wattage of the LED strip?

Excess squeaking and screeching is something that either related to brake pads and or improper rotor/drum contact of the brake pads. Try removing the brake pads and shoes from both front and rear, glaze them a little, meaning, use a medium grade grit paper, try sanding the pads a little and then clean the drum and the caliper pistons from brake dust, install and observe. It should clear the unwanted squeaks.

                                Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                                THE END
