I wonder how a smaller engine could be peppier?

Though the 125 seems obvious (considering the engine is readily available from the Vespas), I hope it is something bigger/better than the SR150!
Yea, I guess 125 would be the next logical option.

Yea, in their usual market, SR series has engines from 50 cc to 300+ cc

But I guess that's imported model, costing beyond 10L

Peppier usually refers to being lighter. So the 125 would be the next best guess. Plus there have been sightings of the 125 being tested in India. Plus to have a higher capacity scoot, ARAI would have to approve that given the fact that there's no competition to a higher displacement bike. Anti competition laws come into force. Same was the case with the twin cylinder Yamaha 300 cc.

I got my SR 150 on last Thursday, my cousin owns a multibrand showroom hence i got the bike within couple of days, though it is un-registered

I have not stretched the bike as want to run in the engine

I got the bike with side stand do not know whether it is an accessory or standard fitment

Waiting for few days and see whether i would keep the bike or not

Incase i decide to the keep the bike following modifications on my mind

            After market sports exhaust
            RVM stock ones are useless
            Headlight Bulb most probably projectors

I am downgrading from a Benelli GT 600 as i sold the same to get a 4 wheeler hence power will never be enough for me but what i do not like is the ride handling it is very hard i guess its because to improve the handling as you can either have one i also have a Juniper which my dad uses and its ride quality is world apart i also do not like how the handle behaves may be it is because of the big tires or i am not use to it

Hi, might not be the right topic to discuss here.

I got my SR150 delivered on Dec 21st.
I am facing a strange issue. When I tank it up, fuel spills out near center stand.
Now when shared this with the service guy, they say never tank it up.
What happens is fuel spills out through breather pipe of tank. So technically its a design flaw.
As fuel into hot engine is a disaster ready to happen. It can occur with anyone.

I dont know now whether to keep the bike or sell it off and get something better.

I am done with 2500 Kms and I am done with my Second Service Today. I was charged Rs440.

I had crucial problem of Horn not working in the Morning. Initially though that it might be due to Horn Switch issue during cold morning. It has been fixed in the service. Got to know from service person that the horn has been tuned. The Engine has been bit tuned as well and now it is bit smooth. My SR 150 is lot better after the second service.

All the accessories has arrived at the dealership except the Ladies Footrest. I have installed Floor mat and Mobile charger. Got to know that Aprilia is still designing the Ladies Footrest which they have failed to do in Pre Production. Dealership informed that it will be available next month.

I have touched 120 kmph in a Highway with my bike and it pulls without any hesitation. The front apron is designed in such a way that it passes through the air easily where the other scooters might fail.

The stock OSRAM Headlight throw is not enough while riding in highways and roads where there are no street lights. I am planning to upgrade it to Philips Diamond Vision Moto or OSRAM Night Racer.

DOES ANY ONE KNOW GENUINE HEADLIGHTS DEALERS IN CHENNAI. I got to enquire few shops in GP Road and they do not have these bulbs and they got only cheap Chinese one.

Also any one tried changing the pilot lamps to LED ?
                Hi
From which dealer did you get the floor mat and charger? i am from chennai.. and what is the cost of both?

Once I had collision with other scooty and my bike sr150 fell to right side, that time I saw fuel falling near center stand, apart from that I have never seen any spillages of fuel. I usually go for tank full to tank full and haven't seen spillage. Please have again dignosed your bike from some expert. Don't take risk.

I was reading all over Internet news of 125cc aprilia bike. If it comes with low hight girls can also opt for it.

I too faced this as I have a habit of tanking up to the max. Now I just use a calculated guess and have learnt to live with the flaw. Also the deep inlet makes things worse as its near to impossible to see the fuel level.

Can you kindly post the pic of the overflow tube and from where the fuel leaks, just so fellow users get a little more insight. Some photos of the tube itself and where it is routed below the stand, would help us all get better insight. Fuel routed or dripping on a hot engine is never a good thing to look forward. Press for action or a repair job, but first observe if it's the same with all the scooters. Keep us posted.

                      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                      THE END

If you fill the fuel to the brim then some small amount will surely enter the breather pipe since it needs a small air gap but whether it will spill or not depends on how the breather pipe is routed.

Yes that is there but it doesn't happen in other scooters I have. Below is the picture where fuel gets spilled. Its a bit away from the engine but it still is dangerous.

Interestingly I don't get to see the drain pipe that is clearly visible in the US Spec Motard SR50 (aka Piaggio Typhoon 50) here: 2013 Aprilia Motard 50 & Piaggio Typhoon 50 - Motorcycle USA

In fact it is so long it is scraping the road!

I wonder whether that is the fuel overflow pipe or the battery fluid (acid) overflow pipe!
