Done second service yesterday. Brakes have become responsive now. Even back one they calibrated for good response. I had sound from back brake earlier which is gone now. But front brake is giving sound now. Engine tuning has made it somewhat good now, I can feel it has become more refined from sound.

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Since I usually travel in Highways without any street lights, it will very difficult to drive and I was thinking of replacing the stock bulbs which is not throwing much light.
I had two options 1. Philips Crystal Vision or 2. Osram Night Racer. I was roaming all over to many shops in chennai to find a genuine product. However I am not able to find it GP Road as well.
Finally ordered two HS1 Philips Crystal Vision 35W in Amazon and go the Genuine ones.
Replaced the stock one with Philips Crystal Vision and now the visibility is better than stock ones. But you cannot expect like HID. The color of lights are white but it is not pure white like you see in HID or CFL lights in home.
The throw is light is also dependent upon the correct position in which the headlamps are adjusted. I had to open and close the front apron 2 times to adjust headlamps. Keeping the headlamps position in middle will provide better throw.
Also I was thinking of replacing the pilot lamps to Philips LED W5W. Since it is too costly i replaced it will Philips Blue Vision W5W.
The whole set up of replacing all the three lights 2 headlamps and 1 pilot lamp cost me aroud Rs 1000/-
Below are the pics:

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Just a note of caution here w.r.t to alloy wheels. When you mentioned about the "thud" sound emanating from the front end, coupled with potholes, it is one tricky concoction. Most alloys of cars, bikes bend when the alloys are forced to have an impact at a point, this concentrates the stress at a point and tends to allow to crack, or deform. Steel rims on the other handle such cases well, as they are comparatively stronger than alloy and resist bends well. Plus, the good news is even if they are bent, they don't crack per se as alloy in worst case. That's why your Dio felt more reassuring than the Aprilia. Any alloy wheel is a potential death trap for a pothole and with speed it only worsens. Reducing speed is the key.Originally posted by tripster View PostThere is one more thing which is bothering me as my whole city is dug up for renovation with concrete roads and metro , most roads have surprise potholes and speed breakers. Surprise because they appear overnight and when I go over them with speeds in excess of 50~60kph the front tire bottoms out and so does the suspension. The thud on the rim aches my heart. I avoid the ones I see and I have to slow down to less than 20kph to go over them safely. Interestingly same potholes and speed breakers have no such effect on my dio. I have concluded that a low profile soft compound tire is a culprit. I tried going uptp 35 psi in front but got same results. Anybody else facing this issue? I am searching for a high profile tire now but to no avail. The stock OEM Vee Rubber has it in Thailand.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Yes. Interestingly my brother's TVS Jupiter too has alloys but comes shod with high profile tires. That does help a lot in city. I was wondering where to get 14 inch high profile tires. I found few on superbikestore.in but there cost is prohibitive (more than Rs 10k for one tire). One life to ride....

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
If you have installed 55W bulb definitely the reflectors will melt due to heat produced by high watt consumption.Originally posted by Lalit Suryawanshi View PostIs that bulb generate heat

Hence i installed 35W as mentioned in the manual. But the Crystal Vision provides better light throw than the stock ones.
Its heat is not impacting the reflectors. I had a 2 hours night drive as well, but still no impact.

Is it the same case with Improperly made speed brakers where bike lands as an impact on hard surface in speed?Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostJust a note of caution here w.r.t to alloy wheels. Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Made my first tour of Pune-Mumbai-Pune overnight on SR150.
Bike ran or I should say raced without any problem. I could run over 100km/hr for several times.
Cornering on circular turns was like a breze, tyers do wonderful job.
Bike must be happy that it got chance to breath upto its potential for first time.
Sitting for three hours is ok, leaves pain but disappears over night in rest.
For such highway ride it gave me average of 37km/ltr, highest till now.
Only problem i faced is hidden and suddenly appearing potholes
.
Overall I am very happy with performance.

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hey guys ,
I am new to xbhp and this is my first post . I'm one of the first owners of the sr150 in my city (IE hyd) I have attached a photo of my bike as well, the front stickers have been removed.
I've added front fork stickers ordered through ebay and also changed parking and number plate lights to white LEDs.
The accesories from the company I've recieved is the
Foot mat ( very well screwed in)
side stand ( one month late)
Usb charger in boot ( recieved it 3days ago )
The bike has covered 1700kms and is performing like a beauty . The fun of this vehicle is outright performance.
I had the chance to also ride the vehicle on the track whose images I shall share as well

The accessories were a pain to get hold of , this came after months of pestering them .Originally posted by fernsruben View PostHey Akshay.

The Mat is a rubber pressed piece .The 4 floor bolts screws are removed the mat is placed and has the corresponding holes for the screws so it's all held in place beautifully.
Price -500 rs
The USB on the other hand was a very easy fix . There's a provisional port in the battery compartment. The service guys made a small cut in the cover for the wire to come out and the unit is sturdy and lies in the boot. I've attached a picture shared on the Hyd SR 150 group of the same
Price -Rs 900 approx
