ExShowroom price is 71,493/-
Insurance - 2129/-
RTO (Registration + Lifetime Road Tax) - 15,056/- looks too high
Smart Card - 550/-
H.S.R.P - 500/- ( I don't know what??)
On-road - 89,729/-

Looks like something is being cooked at the dealership and I will write to Aprilia to clarify as road tax isn't so high in Kolkata. They are cooking up stories around foreign brand, temp registration, 150cc etc.

Also, the dealership told that whoever booked it from the dealership will get it in first batch of 16 bikes arriving on 3rd Oct. While I received a call today from Aprilia (2nd call) to confirm that they are dispatching my bike and dealership will do rest of formalities. I will include this as well in my email to Aprilia.

Can some x-bhpians please help me get quotations from others parts of India.. I want to compare this RTO piece. Can't digest this 15k roadtax. It will be of great help. Even can you share the same for Pune.
I can't upload a pic so I'll just write here the quotation I got from Panvel.

Ex Showroom price: 65719/-
Insurance: 2548/-
Registration fee & other charges: 7933/-
Accessories: 800/-
Total: 77000/-

I think Pune will have more or less the same price differing by a few hundred bucks.

Cheers buddy.

The ex showroom was 65,00 when launched. That's what i was charged. insurance seems right, road tax does not. dealership charged some 350 for handling. Al inclusive was 74,850. Let me check with dealership if the introductory prices has been revised. will update tomorrow.

by the looks of it, it seems they gave you Vespa 150XL quotation.

Mileage calculation looks like this:

176kms/4.75L = 37kmpl

Its decent number for the power and considering i have ridden two up mostly. Certainly it will improve after first service but then its not going to be economical by any means....

That asks me to make three points more,

1. It is ideal to ride alone mostly for better part of your first 1000 kms.. since engine is new, you shouldn't be loading with extra stress when it is setting in.
2. The service. and this is a little bitter part. You get 4 free and 5 paid services, meaning every alternate service is chargeable. The odd numbers are free (1,3,5,7). Service cost i shall give an update as I go for first service.
3. The Pune Motoplex showroom has started stocking accessories it seems. Today i saw a aprilia branded helmet with SR150 embossing. The thing carried a price tag of INR 2744/-. Padding seemed fine but its Vega make. The graphics are super cool but then sturdiness will have to be seen.

and yes, be prepared for a stiffly suspended ride.. The scoot is not shoulder friendly on bad roads.
Hi,

Just want to understand few things before I take the delivery of SR 150

1. Whether the Engine and Gear Box Oil is filled in by the Factory or at the dealership ? Have you inspected it during the time of delivery?
2. What are the accessories you added up to the scooter ? Did the dealership supply ladies footrest similar to other scooters ?

I do not think the oils would be filled at dealership level, the bike should come pre-filled from factory. Did not see it being done at least.
I was charged some Rs 800 for compulsory accessories that included side stand and sarree guard which is mandated by RTO. Ladies footrest will be ad-on accessory and will be chargeable. You get normal pillion footrest which tuck in nicely in the pockets integrated in body.
jyoti247 please check the pricing on Paytm. It still shows price as 65,000 ex showroom. You could book from there.

Yes, I booked via Paytm on 22nd Aug. So yes, I get the introductory price which varies across states due to the local taxes and transportation costs etc. The ExShowroom price is 71,500/- approx. The dealership has reverted to malpractice of gaining more margin by adding up 15k for RTO for road tax and registration. I was surprised to see the Onroad Price of Pulsar 150 to be cheaper than this by a 1000 bucks when the ExShowroom price is higher by 5000 bucks.. so definitely the dealer Speed Auto in Kolkata is a cheater..

If I don't get a proper explanation from Aprilia then I am cancelling my purchase.. 2000/- advance booking loss doesn't matter but the values of the people I deal with do es matter. I would rather settle for a Pulsar 200. I will also look for options if I can get it registered by myself instead of going through the dealer.

Cost of KTM indicators?

DO NOT QUOTE the entire picture set. Remove pics when quoting pictures.

Do they blink at normal speed or faster than stock? Generally when changed to LED , resistors will be installed or flasher relay should be changed.

1st blink slowly after that blinks fast.
