Update on the brake light issue in my SR:

It seems that one of the coils had given up and hence it would only light up when either brake lever would be pressed. Replaced the bulb myself and now everything is fine.

I find it really strange how the bulb gave up so....early? (2K on odo)

Guys, my query went unnoticed. This problem has been troubling me a lot lately and the service centre guys never bother to even check it. I'm really worried if I'm killing my engine. Please help. It's 2600kms on the odo and the oil was changed for both the services.

PS. I make sure my cold-starts are kick-started and idled for about 3 minutes, with choke pulled for half a minute.

        Hey guys,
Planning to buy a scooter and had my heart set on sr 150 but now when it's time to buy one, confused between the sr 150 and the n torq also any idea when the sr 150 carbon se (showcased at auto expo ) will be released.
Quoted price without accessories in my city in Karnataka was 92k is it the correct price?

Also how is it to ride for a 6 feet guy for long?

Well I wouldn't know much from the description of clattering but I guess to a certain extent, I face this issue as well at times, especially when the bike is run after a couple of days. The clatter of some kind appears unevenly at times at different rev bands and especially while climbing uphill or with the pillion. However, it is not something which bothers me that much nowadays at it used to earlier. If it is very troubling and you can re-create the clatter at certain RPM/speed, please discuss that with Aprilia SVC and get it checked ASAP. Keep a lookout for your engine oil levels meanwhile and see it if anything appears extraordinary in terms of oil/levels, condition etc. Keep us posted on this

My best guess for Carbon SE release would be by the year-end festive season of somewhere before during the 2 year launch anniversary in Aug/Sept. NTorq is good value for money and a relatively new & fresh launch so do take a test ride and decide. Unless you are in a rush, wait for the SE and decide if it's worth the additional premium (should be 5-6 k over standard SR150 OTR I guess).

I'm 5.10 and got used to the riding position in some time but it's definitely cramped with a pillion and office bag on footboard. My knees touch the handlebars on full U-turns. Nowadays I've been riding solo mostly by sitting almost on pillion seat at times while cruising on smooth roads and it works for me. I've come across quite some owners taller then me at the SVC which goes to say it can be worked out over time. But again, test ride and decide.

Yeah mine is also noticeable with a pillion. As the sound goes after I ride for some 3kms, the engine also starts sounding more refined. The power loss that I experience during the initial few kilometers also disappears. I don't trust the mechanics at SVC to do a good job at this. At one SVC, the mechanic heard the noise, went and tightened license plate screws *sigh*. So I took it to the Motoplex in Marathahalli, there the mechanic was not patient to let me finish what I had to say.

I'm thinking of taking the bike to a local mechanic. Anybody know any trustworthy mechanics in Bangalore?

Fraud and distrust at Moto Italia Vespa workshop, 631/1 kedari nagar Wanowrie Pune, On march 7 of 2018, I had given my Aprilia Sr 150 bearing regn no MH12NN277 for service, We received a call on 8/3/18 from service centre guy to produce insurance for warranty, I was amazed for warranty claim service book is required not insurance, I found something fishy so asked my nephew to see what’s happening? , he was amazed while he reached the centre, bike was hidden, a mechanic was changing spare parts at corner, pictures are taken by him! our front panel was noticed to be changed, old one was lying hidden along with scrap behind workshop was hit badly and damaged, while another was fit to bike was also found broken may be aftermarket the manager asked my nephew to leave the place it s not allowed to come here and restricted area and not allowed to take pictures, but still he took pictures of parts he found
I don’t even know how many parts were hanged with my concern? No entry made on job card
While I reach on March 9, 2018 I enquired strongly about what happened? After some time the mechanic named Ubair Rehman Abdul Hakim (19yr old) and manager more confessed, an accident happened, while Ubair was driving after service, may be rash negligence and rough! , I doubt if he has license since he was unable to produce any! The vehicle was damaged, we didn’t inform you, and while changed the parts without intimation
I have seen the brand and authorized service centre not mechanic and manager to get vehicle serviced, this is distrust, it was observed that the CCTV cameras aren’t functioning at service centre, parts changed were not existing on job card, nor I know what all is changed ! Neither the test drive was permissible as no entry seen on Job card, I Doubt if this bike will be good and safe to ride post accident? If spurious parts are used at workshop? This work was carried and parts interchanged without my concern .Best part, We have been receiving calls messages post this the service is done, collect the bike!
I have initialed a legal action I have lodged a FIR at Wanowrie police station, for harassment, distrust, fraud, tratory, various IPC and MVA Acts and illegal activities held against Moto Italia workshop, manager, technician, since no one is ready to take responsibility, its unsafe and the reliability is lost of this bike. People be alert and careful with Moto Italia Vespa service centers, especially Wanowrie branch.Click image for larger version

If you are from Mumbai like I am, a sticker in the front will be fine as I have a sticker only.
