Using H4 fanless LED from gearbest.
In my opinion
1) Lumens is same as the 35w
2) Run way cooler
3) The look white, but are true 6500k color temp which is bluish.
AFAIK the white HIDs in german imports, the replacement bulbs are quoted at 4300k color temp. So the debate on 6500k or 4300k being white is still on.
To add the bulbs in the stock bike are wired such that the high beam filament light up. It is the reflectors that are focusing the beam to low or high position.
Trying to wire the bulbs to get dual low n high will cause issues with beam spread pattern.
I'm new to this forum and I own an Aprilia SR150 MY18 version in Black colour since this July.Till now,I have ridden more than 1300 Kms and completed 2 months with my Darth Vader today, yes its my Aprilia's nickname.I bought it for Rs.84k and got side stand and foot mat installed and got Aprilia helmet along with that. The mileage I'm getting is around 33-40 Kmpl and the best being 40.6 Kmpl, which I achieved it before giving my Aprilia for 1st service.I gave my Aprilia for 1st service a month and a half ago when the odo was close to 500 Kms and 17 days after purchase of Darth. This service costed me Rs.432 and my Aprilia had met with minor accident on the day I had completed 1 month of ownership with Aprilia. When I was speeding and the bus was ahead of me,I had applied sudden brakes and a Scooty Pep+ hit my Aprilia and the person on the Scooty had fell down. But,nothing happened to my Aprilia luckily and I didn't fell from the vehicle but what was hurting was number plate was broken into pieces and lower mudguard had been broken. So,immediately I went to Aprilia service center and got his mudguard changed to new one, which costed me Rs.532.This is the only incident happened till now with my Darth Vader.
Now,I'm posting the pros and cons of my Darth Vader:
+ves
+Bike feel-It gives more bike feel than a scooter feel +Performance-It easily goes at the speed of 60 Kmph without any hassles +Looks in Black-Thats the reason I bought this over Race version +Brakes-Way better than our Access, which we have at home +VFM-I feel this is one of the VFM's over Activa/Access,which costs Rs.75-83k in our city and Aprilia costs almost same price +Bigger tyres
-ves: -Headlights are poor-Need to change those to LED's soon
-Water is entering into the odometer sometimes whenever rains outside-Need to check on this issue and the water inside the odo gets dried up after sometime
-Uncomfortable for 2 people-I couldn't even sit when my mom sits on the pillion
-FE-As of now getting around 33-36 Kmpl and previous one I got 40.6 Kmpl too but I don't care much about mileage as it is a fun to ride two wheeler
Nice upgrade done here.I'm also thinking to change my 2 months old Aprilia's lights to LED as I find lighting is poor at night.Where should I get those LED's from and I don't know how to DIY it so as soon as I purchase these lights,I might be going for mechanic, who replaces OE lights with LED's.
2018 Aprilia SR150-Black Venom-My one and only love
