The only thing it lacks is a the larger wheels when compared to the SR150. The N-Torq has a good performer and the FE (Economy/Mileage) is far better than the SR. It has a good, digital instrument console with tons of attractive features and smartphone connectivity as well. It should be a better scooter if you and your dad both want to use it. The SR is too much race inspired which elderly people may not like.
With all these negatives you have heared.Aprilia sr150 has an engine , an engine which will make you happy each & every time you wring the the throttle also it has absolute brilliant breaking.A bit stiffer suspension but its of great quality as it never crashes under harsh bumps. The bs4 version are more refined compared to the old ones. The seating position its great for me it maybe awkward for you check on that.Superb built quality no vibrations what so ever. All those bluetooth novelties , you wont even remember them after few days.

    The cons are :

    Impracitcal af.

    Very poor Fuel economy(Around 35-38)

    Bit expensive spares.

    Not that great headlamps

If you are okay with all these cons go ahead.

I was also in the same situation as you are in few days ago but I went for the mighty Aprilia just for its engine character. You may not like it !

Better do a test ride of both & then decide. The pros & cons are infront of , now the choice is yours thats you whos going to ride it

It's normal. Do Not expect good mileage from this scooter, at least not so soon. It will improve after 2000km.

Also, guys my SR is nearing 4000km. I'm going to change the oil. Do I go with what the SVC provides or should I try Motul oil? Also what's the oil grade used for this scooter?

        Thanks and cheers.

            Hello everyone

Can someone please confirm if the below LED lights (H4) will be compatible with Aprilia SR 150.

Feel free to suggest me from the same website. (I have a few coupons which I would like to use.)

              Hi guys ,

I own an aprilia SR 150 and have completed 31000+ kms till today .
My experience was great for 1 year and after 1 year the issue started . I've had an engine seizure all thanks to the SVC guys not filling enough oil and had claimed warranty for the repairs and thankfully aprillia did for free else i would have shelled out 13k just for their negligence .

After the engine seizure and its repairs , vehicle ran very well for 3 months and then started all sorts of issue i.e pick has come down to its lowest . When i'm driving i feel like something is holding my wheel from rotating and the accelerator is too hard and my wrists hurt .
I've taken the vehicle to SVC for over 4-5 times and after 1 week it ends up loosing its pickup .

Anybody else has faced this issue ?

Front fork oil seal cost 1000 for each in service centre, anyone had changed oil seals? Where to get them other than service centres?

My sis dropped our SR so the right mirror and brake lever is broken. Does anyone know if I can use Activa/Jupiter or some other scooter mirrors and levers or will I have to buy stock parts again from Aprilia?

                    Thanks guys.

Most vehicles have the same thread for mirrors. So other mirrors must fit. Just make sure of the size of the mirrors and stalk geometry to ensure proper visibility.

Edit: I'm not sure of the brake lever.

Go for aprilia break levers I would suggest they are great.

I had a small crash on the aprilia trackday & the left break lever was bent.It costed me around 150rs ,
I think the right one costs about 450rs because of the disk assembly up front.

Thanks guys. Will buy the OEM parts because I'm going near the SVC for some personal work anyway.

And,completed 3000 Kms with my Venom today and will be completing 4 months of ownership with him this week and joined into Aprilia/Vespa Whatsapp group today.

Previous FE I got was 36.6 Kmpl after 2nd service.

Odo reading as of today night-3022 Kms.Ran 55 Kms within city traffic and one friend had test rode my SR and said, brakes are good.

And,since October 23rd till today,I had ran 1000 Kms with my Venom, thanks to my daily commute to college and tuition, which is 12 Kms away from home.Except sundays,I use him everyday.Whenever I want to get groceries or something and to roam within our home,I take our Access 125 out to save Petrol of my SR150 and as my daily commute,I take my SR150 out.

FE update of today's refill-35.8 Kmpl, which is not bad for a 150cc engine considering I ride mostly on bad traffic everyday.

And,horn got blown last week. This happened for second time and luckily,I was near my Aprilia ASC and called my technician, who worked on my SR150 and and he told me to come there as I was in front of the service center and fixed the horn and came out.
Completed 5000 Kms on my SR150 few days ago and the present odometer reading is 5405 Kms as of today.Gave him for 3rd service on feb 12th when the odo was around 4500 Kms and costed me Rs.468 including oil change and cleaning of airfilter and I had changed left mirror, which got broken 2 months ago for Rs.250.Till now,I had spend around Rs.5000 on my SR150 that includes 3 services,1 accident repair(rear mudguard),new set of LED headlight bulbs, blackening front indicators and rear lamp, new number plate(front and rear) and got 46 stickers for both sides.

                            And,
I had rode my cousin's Burgman, which was bought on Jan 24th 2019 in Matte Grey colour and rode 5 to 6 Kms on it and compared it with my SR.The Burgman has run around 1500 Kms in almost 2 months of its purchase and I rode when it had run just 250 Kms.

                            Burgman +ves over SR150:

1.Comfort-This is where my SR150 lacks and seat size is huge than my SR150
2.Storage-Another drawback of my SR and you can put your mobile in the pocket provided by the manufacturer and can put your phone for charging in DC socket in glovebox
3.You can happily stretch your legs like if you are sitting on a cruiser bike like Harley or Thunderbird
4.Suspension is softer than my SR150 and it glides on bad roads easily despite having smaller rear wheels compared to my SR150
5.Features like digital speedometer and LED headlight which came as stock compared to my SR150.which I got the bulbs fitted outside and digital speedometer is now available in newer versions of SR150
6.Mileage-I expect much better FE on Burgman compared to SR due to engine displacement.

                            SR150 +ves over Burgman:

1.Performance-This is where my SR150 shines.Though Burgman is also powerful, but its not powerful as my SR and Burgman's engine is also same as our Access
2.Brakes-Another best of my SR.Though Burgman has good braking power, but it is nowhere close to my SR150 in terms of braking and BTW,you get ABS in SR150 while Burgman has combi brakes
3.Looks-My SR150 is really a headturner and gets attracted by public even after 6+ months of its purchase
4.Bigger tyres-SR150 has 14 inch wheels while Burgman has 12 inch on front and 10 inch on back

As an SR150 owner since 8 months,I feel Burgman excels SR150 in terms of comfort, practicality and mileage while SR150 excels Burgman in terms of performance, brakes and looks.Burgman is for the people who is looking for comfort, reliability and practicality while SR150 is for the people who wants boy racer and bike-ish looks, performance. For me,my SR150 is the winner due to performance, brakes and looks. The drawbacks of my SR150 are hard suspension, uncomfortable seating position and low FE(this is not much important for me as it is more of race track and sports scooter rather than practical scooter).Apart from that,I'm extremely happy with my SR150.

                            Next in line:

1.Thinking to modify the seat as I find uncomfortable and hard while riding for long
2.Get better LED lights and aux lights along with it
                            3.Get SR150 carbon stickers
4.Get better helmet and gloves.I'll get LS2 or MT helmet mostly

This will be done in June as I'll be completing my degree this June and will mod my SR150.

Completed 30k on sr150 today. When i bought , it costed 75k on road, it was wonderful deal. Journey has been wonderful. Lots of power makes you go very fast. I met three minor and one major accident , insurance covered most of the cost. Never had any engine or battery issue. Recently i faced issues with battery discharge sine bike was off for a month sine it was at service center for insurance claim. Cold start has no issue if we do it regularly. For first year average was 29 to 32 second year it was around 35 and last time I calculated it was 40 , I control race alot now after accident. This bike has been most wonderful thing happened to me. Enjoyed each moment riding it.
Anyone who has doubt , I will say a test drive will clear it out. If it matched your frequency you will know it in first trial only.
