Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
But why does anyone want to go at 140??Originally posted by ramdante View PostYup, it's either this or that. I believe a smaller sprocket, should help attain speeds of 140 or higher. Would be nice to see if someone experiments this
Btw, does any one have any idea which bike's sprocket (smaller) will be a easy fit for the Fz25?

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Since the bike have 5yrs warranty most people will take it to only SVC till five yrs and hence chance of finding an oil filter outside will be rare for some initial years.Originally posted by Vinu Pillai View PostIs fz 25 oil filters available at local shops or at service centres only?

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The FZ25 was strategically placed between the 1 lakh and 2 lakh market. Without liquid cooling, the full potential of the engine cannot be realised.
With 20 bhp, around 135-140 kmph would be a realistic expectation.
I wonder, what if Yamaha develops a 350cc with the same tech?
Do we have the desire for a bike which can do 0-100 kmph in 6 seconds, with a top speed of 170 kmph with a price of ₹2.2 lakh on road?

What is the chain pitch and also provide the number of holes.Originally posted by ramdante View PostBtw, does any one have any idea which bike's sprocket (smaller) will be a easy fit for the Fz25?
My P220 comes with .520 pitch chain and 4 hole rear sprocket, same for Karizma(sprockets can be inidividually purchased)
Trust me when I say this, useable torque is anyday better than maximum speed, unless the motorcycle is strictly reserved for traffic-less highways.Originally posted by ramdante View PostJust for the adrenaline rush, once in a while on good open highways.. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I think you don't understand what I said : I said it is available with only SVC, since it have warranty for 5 yrs most people only take bike to authorized care and hence producing/selling local oil filter is loss for the seller as all people prefer oil filter from SVC itself, and hence less chance to find fz25 parts in local shops for some years.Originally posted by Vinu Pillai View PostAre you saying that during break in period we dont need to change oil filter along with oil?Last edited by Mr.kurup; 05-18-2017, 01:12 PM.

True..Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostTrust me when I say this, useable torque is anyday better than maximum speed, unless the motorcycle is strictly reserved for traffic-less highways.
But for there are some who love playing with gears for keeping in the meat of the power band .
That is more engaging.

Yamaha won't release such a bike since it will give competition to r3 and upcoming Mt03.Originally posted by leech View PostI wonder, what if Yamaha develops a 350cc with the same tech?

Not only that..Originally posted by Mr.kurup View PostYamaha won't release such a bike since it will give competition to r3 and upcoming Mt03.
They will need to invest huge money in R&D because they need to start from A,B,C procedure of a developing a new motorcycle (350).
FZ25 is a over a decade old power plant, few parts sharing with younger sibbling and other cost cutting here and there,
Still costs 1.4 lakhs plus.
