Finally Got the bike on 27th[emoji4], even my previous bike was delivered on 27th (27/01/2012). Super love with the bike, that power is awesome[emoji7] addictive, you don't need to rev it or downshift instead just twist the trottle to make the objects in the mirror dissapear. On the first day did 40kms in Bangalore traffic, bike was manageable as I was afraid of the power before purchasing. And been to office on Friday and Saturday in Bangalore traffic(vijayanagar to sarjapur)[emoji13]. Total odo reading is 130kms iirc.
The console is buggy and restarted once in three days. And the headlamp has not switched off in the night, but I have seen headlamp suddenly switching on in the daytime and switchin off, I thought the headlamps are automatic but no where they have mentioned this as a feature so probably it's a bug as well[emoji16]. Today whole showing to a friend the bike suddenly didn't connect with the phone so had to switch off the Bluetooth and on again to get to work.
I usually use Saavn to play my music while riding but this console doesn't support Saavn instead it only works with Google play music and default player which I don't use as I don't have any offline music on my phone. So just to use this feature of changing song through the switch gears I copied all the songs to phone and tried playing it works for one songs but later it hung and stopped responding, so got fedup and chuked it.lots of work to be done for the console.


The radiator fan is annoying but can't help. Foot pegs are rear sets so standing on pegs is difficult, my p220 was prefect for standing ditto like adventure bike position of footpegs and also has the silencer/exhaust tech and also the chassis to protect the engine from hitting any hard obsticals.
Suspension is lot harder than 220.
headlamps are very weaker than p220, it just pokes you in the eye but won't illuminate the road in traffic.
Filtering through traffic is difficult thanks to the super wide handlebars and handguards. My 220 even with it's mirrors open could cut through any traffic.

Congratulations!!! Welcome to the club. The headlamp "automatically" switches on when you go under dark areas like tunnels. Underground etc etc. At the same time. Your console will also go black. It's the auto headlamp feature. The top two lights are the headlamps. Low beam. Middle - DRL & the bottom - high beam.

The lights are actually pretty good. But only when it's pitch dark. If there's streetlights. It's almost useless. It's not due to the fact that these are LEDs. It's due to the colour temperature of the lights. But they really work when needed. I was able to do 100+ at night after rain on those lights confidently.

Initially even I thought the same as you and almost went to pick a pair of aux lights. But in reality, it's not needed. You can if you want to.

Decent bike. Ride her the way she's meant to be ridden. She will take good care of you.

I'm just comparing my bikes and pointing the cons of duke(as per me) of course duke has many pros but there's no need to mention that as each and every reviews point that. btw I'm a sucker for adventure bikes hence that is the way I look at my bike. thought I don't go on offroad trails still I try to find my adventure on riding over our pothole plauged roads and speed breakers on the pegs.

Got the paint protection film done from Auto service bangalore for 1990rs. Had to remove the duke logo and the warning sticker on the tank to avoid any bubbles but even now the film is not perfect but the guy said bubbles will go off once the bike is in sunlight. Anyway this is way cheaper than the showroom price who quoted 3.7k[emoji46] for the same.

One irritating thing I have noticed is when we hold the bike with just our thighs, I can hear a plastic flex noise from under the seat.

When you quote a post with picture, you will see the pictures quoted along with your reply post. Remove all those pictures or anything that starts and ends with [IMAGE] [/IMAGE] remove all the pics this way. Or if you see images, just delete all the images, you're done.

To be honest.. I use my 390 for touring & the RC200 for track days & local sprinting.. I don't use the 390 in traffic.. agreed it's a better tool than my RC in traffic, but mileage and the power of a 25bhp is more than enough for this city.. the D390, I am rarely touching even the 3rd gear!!!! mostly it's 1st or 2nd.. let's be practical.. that's all I'm saying.. great engine for open roads, but not for stop-&-go city..

Noticed one weird thing, fill the tank to the brim and stop in the signal, the bike will be shaking for at least 20secs as the fuel stops floating.

Okay so I did sometimes feel this on my bike pulsar 200 ns , and I always used to think somethings wrong with me not able to balance the bike properly 😂😂😂😂😂 with this you clear my doubts bro
