There are only two dealers in Gujarat state and none offer TD. I was ready to travel 500 KM's for TD, but they refused!! [emoji21]

True. TD wiil make considerable difference in deciding the bike. Initially people went for the bike without TD but now , many would prefer TD.

I have a question regarding the heat management of the bike. Specifically in the current traffic around Thane-Mulund checknaka. Does the bike overheat in that stretch or is the heat dissipation manageable? I have seen a few D390 and RC390s left stranded in that location due to overheating. I cant think of any other place that poses such a big test to the heat management of any bike.

          Thanks in advance!
Hi Rachit, Sorry for the late response. I was on a road trip, came back a couple of days ago. My commute is from Thane to Airoli and back to Thane using the Thane - Mulund Checknaka road. Off late, unfortunately due to Mumbra BP closure, all the truck traffic has been diverted to Thane - Mulund and it's been very painful few months. I have rode RR310 in choke traffic conditions for perhaps over 60 minutes and I must praise TVS for the heat management. To answer your question, it's more than manageable and you won't face Tandoori legs or Overheating Engine issue. At the most, the radiator fan will kick in and you would hear the fan sound which will disappear once you carry some speed. Worse case, the bike might stall once or twice in first gear if you tend to leave the clutch early without providing appropriate throttle response.

Rest Assured, you won't be left stranded.

Perfectly explained. Best heat dissipation in the segment.

              Updates :

The bike is fine. Nothing new observed. Everything held up well, no panel noise or any loose screws.

Testing new epoxy tank pads for the RR310. Will post pics once I have the production version tank pads.

Overall I'm a very satisfied owner. Been 6-7 months now and the bike still looks brand new. Money well spent & yes mileage claims are still high. I still average 34-38kmpl in the city 😅

4000 km update: The bikes honeymoon phase is over. I am having some problems with the brakes. The bikes front brake makes squeaking noise when used. Also the brake pads in the front tire makes small noise while riding in slow speeds. I am starting to bear the brunt of getting a bike from remote service centre. Visited a local service centre to figure out what the problem is. They didnt even check the bike and told me that this bikes brake system is different from other apache bikes & they dont have specialised tools to open & check them. I explained them that authorised service centre is 300 km away & asked them to contact rr 310 engineers and get guidance to repair the bike. But they refused that it would mess up bikes ABS. I really wish TVS made rr 310 service centers atleast in important cities. For this minor brake pad adjustment i will have to travel long distance.

Also take care of your bike guys. I dropped my bike twice in the last five days. Now there is small paint loss visibile in my bikes fairings. I feel terriblly sad. For the past five months I took great care of the bike. But all of a sudden, dropped it in consecutive days and feeling like a complete idiot. I felt like my honour is shattered when i fell with the bike on the road. Both of the drops were low speed corners. Still Didnt recover from that incident mentally. Seething with sorrow inside. Just wanted to vent my frustration. I let my bike down. Twice. I am an idiot.

Well, this is my 1st bike. So my observations might not be entirely correct. I check the tire pressure twice a week & lube the chain every 800km. The bike performance is splendid when ridden solo. But when i carry a passenger on the pillion, the bikes vibration increases many folds. The tires don't offer a lot of grips in village roads filled with pot holes. I Learned this the hard way. The tire is entirely designed with race track tarmac in mind. On the average the bike gives mileage around 32 km. The bike chain makes clunky sound while shifting gears. For some wierd reasons back tire comes out of alignment when hard breaking. But ABS saved me many times. One thing though, the side indicator lights are sturdy as hell. I dropped the bike both sides. There was barely a scratch on them. The exhaust guard could have been a bit bigger. Many times, The carry bags melted while bringing goods from market. But I know what I signed up for. If i had 100 dollar for every time somebody asked about the bike, I would have been a millionaire now. Bike is an attention grabber. Over all I am pretty satisfied with the bike except TVS after sales support. Service centres are Only in 3 cities in Tamil Nadu. So much for Tamil Nadu based company. They really ****ed it up.

No offense but some of the points you've mentioned at first are really petty. The RR310 is a sportbike, not a commuter friendly bike that you can thrash around on poor roads. Make your priorities straight.

Sheik, brother don't beat yourself up. These things happen sometimes. Main thing is you are ok, bike can always be repaired. Even Valentino Rossi drops his bike from time to time.

Forget about the falls/drops and Enjoy the ride.

                            Cheers
