Hope we can retrofit the slipper clutch on the old bikes.
The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

              Hi all,

              Need urgent help.
I am travelling for leh ladakh and near pathankot i had a major heating issue, which seems to not going away.
Tvs has declined to send a technician and saying it will only get towed.

They are sending the bike now to Ludhiana tvs service centre to check.
It will take another 4-5 hour to reach Ludhiana and it will be only checked tomorrow morning.

What basically the Heating issue is , coolent and engine oil are good, but bike is unable to cool the engine and failing to run radiator fan too.
Sometime it works sometimes it doesn't.

Does anybody had this issue or can help me in escalation.

              Thanks in advance

I see no one had replied, guess this problem is unique to you.
Do post what was the problem diagnosis, I'd be very curious.
Hope you are continuing your journey without further bad experiences.

                  Sad to hear this.

I can summate three things based on logic.

                  1. Overheating happens, when you have insufficient coolant in your radiator/cooling system. Failed thermostat.
                  2. Overheating can happen when you have low engine oil.
                  3. Overheating can happen, when your fan isn't moving as its supposed to be, wherein, low speeds can mean the engine can heat up, which is when the fan should kick in. If the fan is intermittently getting switched on, it won't be able to cool the system. It can be a faulty fan or a failed thermostat which isn't allowing the coolant to circulate properly.

                  Do keep your observations posted.

                  Good luck.

                  Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                  The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Valid point bpk. I am not sure whether his radiator is clogged, to such an extent, where even the radiator and the fan itself are mucked up so bad that they are completely non-operational. But, it can be a reason as you said. But, chances of these are very rare, but you just never know. Eager to hear from the chap himself.

                      Cheers!

Check the fuses and relays if the fan keeps stop working. Also check the wiring. Keep the revs low and monitor the engine temp, if it rises too high, take a break
