    I see some orange coloured cloth kept near the engine. Remove it. That space needs breathing as that leads to the air-filter unit.
    Ok..I thought there was an inlet for air...under seat..as my passion had it...

    • Inlet for air: air filter ..feeds air for fuel combustion
      its a air cooled engine so the engine is left open.any hindrance will heat up the engine!

                ha ha guys i have got around 45 no matter how i ride my bike... and now with lean mixture with the filters m gettin around 40 +/-. tried empty tank with a litre and checked after tuning... it purely depends on the way one shifts n revs i guess

                    With lean mixture you should be getting more,
                    the famous word- "AVERAGe"

                    And if filters here means the K&N, you're doing just reverse of what you should be doing.
                    Running a K&N, that too with lean mixture will KILL performance, and it will make your engine run super hot too.

                    @ALL:

                    35-40kmpl is God avg for 180 in all conditions.
                    I get 40-45 (45 if i'am not in boy racer mood, 60-65kmpl when drivven below 4500RPM which anyday is not possible with RTR, i got that figure while running in,never got that after that) from my FI in all kinds of riding, you do the math now.

                        • worst i got was 35~ somethingish when i was ripping full on when the bike had finished first service...
                          40 +/- is the normal figure in my friends circle on all kinds of rtr's., i.e., 180,160,fi....
                          and couple of days before i met a guy (40+years) he stood next to my bike at the ring road signal with his white180., i asked him about his mileage n stuff and he said he gets 55 average since 3rd service and i was like WOW... what mileage would he extract from a 220, if given to him.......
                          from then i wanted to know about mileage of others and hence i posted the question of how much u guys r getting from your bikes.....

                          • Hello RTR owners, one small query for my friend , whats the best tyre for RTR180 which can be used in all conditions wet, dry and even for touring it gives less issues which can fit in a budget of 5000/- for both tyres, he uses the bike to travel to office which is like 12 kms a day and whenever he has the mood he goes for some ripping on the highways.

                            Can someone advice please?

                            • Hey guys, how soon does the clutch plates need replacement? I'm now having lil trouble. Last week I had to change the clutch cable due to cable split at the lever end. Even with the new cable, it had to be adjusted almost to 3/4 the adjustment leeway.

                              Besides, valves and tappets needs to be adjusted. At higher revs the engine feels stressed...

                              And oh... all these just when the ride turned 1year.

                                i got 43 during the running in period... i mean at the tym when i was riding it decently n wasn't ripping... though my dad extract around 45-48 when he rides it even with his normal riding style (not caring abt mileage)... but i never got above 38 xcept running in period...

                                @renny...

                                bro, can u plz give some tips to get more mileage from my ride without changing my riding style to "Complete decent" one?
