        Bro.. I tend to believe its the problem with the sprocket. I've done everything I could think of, including changing the chain link. But to no avail.

        BTW, the chain and sprocket, as a set comes to 970. So his saying 1000 is not entirely wrong.

        Anyway, I'll change the sprockets sooner than later. I'll update the status then!

          • My bike is having some unusual problem... when my engine heats up after ripping it tends to take idling at 2k. even after pressing the clutch it does not come down to the normal idling. Do you guys have any idea about it??

                  Hello Friends,

                  I need your advice regarding the Engine oil change for my Menace. It has run 9500 kms and I'm planning to shift to fully synthetic oil (Castrol power 1 racing, agip racing, motul etc...). Should I change the oil seal too or can I go ahead only with oil change? Also please recommend the best fully synthetic oil available for the Menace because I will be taking her down to chennai for the "california superbike School" training camp on 27th of this month.

                  P.S : Budget is not a constraint if the performance is upto the mark. So please recommend accordingly.

                          Hey can some one tell what is the right time to shift to a Full Synth? Is there is specific order of oil changes which we should abide by?
                          For e.g Mineral Oil for first 'x'000 kms --> SS for the next 'x'000 kms --> and finally FS?

                          I read about engine oils in one of the post in Help me section. However, it would be of great help if some one can explain this specifically for RTR 180.

                              There is no specific order. Just that it is recommended to stick to mineral oil at the initial stages (just make sure to change it every 1k kms or so). You can then shift to SS or FS oil after the first couple of thousand kms depending on riding condition and budget

                              For city riding, a good SS oil is more than sufficient. Just try and stick to the grade xW40 for this bike.

                              You should change your oil filter at every oil change.

                                Cone-set.

                                You need to replace it.And if you have crossed the mileage of 10k km,it won't come for free (warranty!)..
                                If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!
