    • Hi guys, today when i was riding my bike the engine switched off many times when i was slowing down the throttle.I took my bike to a nearby mechanic and he did the tuning and it was all fine.It was fine till evening, then how come the bike stopped automatically. Is it a tuning problem?
Can someone please post a pic of the tuning screw?

      • Fuel filler C(r)AP!

Anyone got solution to this? After every wash/rains water just seeps through the fuel filler cap. Please, tell me how to handle this thing.

WTF?Its all rusted from inside!Change the rubber lining on the fuel filler cap, that might be the culprit. Also put up the plastic cover over the lid to prevent water from seeping inside. Its available at the seat cover, seat fabrication shops,it works!

Damn..Why are you still holding up with that tank. Replace it (under warranty) immediately. That's the only solution.

I still wonder how you are still carrying on with this type of rust!!

Thanks drifty. I will try and find that plastic cover you are talking about. On my last visit to service centre they seem to have no clue about this.

The amount of rust deposited on the tank shows that it must have started a long time ago. You should have replaced it then when the bike was under warranty. Rusting is a slow process which should be treated in its initial stage. Now you will have to replace the whole tank, no other solution is there.

Welcome mate. The lid covers are available only at the seat cover shops.I think you wont get it under warranty now!The whole tank will cost around 4k-5k!

How can it be an offtopic here? The stock ones are of Halonix brand, change to Philips 35W HS4 bulb,a bit brighter than the stock ones.

+1,mostly such problems go unnoticed cause we fill the tank upto the brim and dont bother to open the lid until the next refill,in that period corrosion takes place as the water gets accumulated in the gaps.Sometimes, too much low fuel in the tank causes vapours to form inside and thus the mouth of the tank gets rusted.I spray WD-40 on the fuel tank cap(from inside) & the mouth(opening) of the tank at regular intervals to prevent it from rusting especially in this moist climate.
