        • Finally my bike's jerking/missing problem has been solved.

the culprit was found to be the engine kill switch. due to water ingress the ignition system was not getting proper contact(voltage at the spark plug) and was showing this problem. also the vibrating tacho needle at 7k rpm is also solved.

hats off to tvs service, although it did take a mail to the GM to get my problem solved but the service response was excellent.the tvs engineer called me the very next day and asked me to submit the bike for checking. the bike was with them for two days, but they started working on my bike when i came to take the bike on the second day. they changed the carb, ignitor and tci/idi then checked but still the problem wasn't solved. but then one wise mechanic noticed that if the engine kill switch is kept pressed hard then the bike runs smooth.
so voila the problem was solved. hope this piece of information helps all you guys with jerking/missing problem.

The engine kill switch is not the culprit here, if it was, then, the bike would have jerked, missed at all RPM's,(owners have reported it at specific low RPM's) would have behaved like it's not getting enough fuel at sudden throttle inputs.

Improper elec supply to the plug wont give you a missing but the jerk, and i mean the JERK, slight line off diff between the two, and the jerk wont be specific at the particular RPM (read low and high) but it will vary between the RPM as the the contact which the faulty engine kill switch that'll be breaking, wont be at the low RPM's (2000-4000) or high RPM's (6000-8000), it can be at the idling too, that'll cause bike to stall every now and then.
And if you'll take the bike to 4000RPM and keep it there at the stand, you'll notice that the tacho wont be gluing there and the bike will act as it's spitting fuel, getting air, if there's some mistake with the elec supply.

The missing issue was, and is, related to the carb only, may be the new carb the SC installed to your bike might have done the trick and it just matched with the engine kill switch

                • Turbo CHarger on Bikes?is it possible?

I thought of it because turbocharger is placed in the outlet, and increases the power by 50%

your logic is very correct, i also thought of this.the svc guys didn,t change my carb, idi or the ignitor they just checked by changing it to find the problem. i still hav my original carb, idi and ignitor.

the reason i said jerk was because if the spark plug misses to burn one fuel properly in the combustion cycle then u will feel a loss of power and if it burns it properly in the next cycle u will feel a jerk.

further the svc guys told me that a180 being designed as a racing bike the voltage/current output at low rpms is less and thats why u will feel it in the low rpms only. regarding idling the engine has no load on it so even if the fuel is not burning properly it will idle smoothly.in the high rpm range the momentum of the bike and the speed of the engine is so much that u wont feel that jerking.

neways this topic could lead to lot of discussions,i just shared the information because i was fed up with all the jerking/missing in my bike and now the problem is solved.

all the guys with the same problem can check there engine kill switch and then confirm whether it solves there problem also. i am happy that my bike is super smooth now...

Thanks, Guys. Btw it was done here in BBSR only. The paint was matched up with the shock absorber's golden hue and applied on the alloys. The whole job took less than 4 hrs.

Did they cleaned up your 'old' carb. I think that might have solved it.

first of all congrats for the one year anniversary of your bike and the paint job looks cool.

yes they cleaned my carb but i highly doubt that solved the problem as i had got it done earlier also to no avail.
