Any idea if it can be salvaged? Or will it need replacement?

    Am having the same problem for the past 30k kms. RPM meter has small patchs of white dust at 3 points and some water droplets at times. Condonsation may be.

    It did'nt bother me nor did it create any problems. guess i'd get it clean during next service.

      • One Question in Mind

        What is the main reason for the TVS tires being so slippery and skidding problem?
        1. Weight of the tyre.{As the company states the wheels used are light weight.}
        2. rubber used on the tyre.{One of the most important aspect of racing bike, how can the R&D missout on such important aspect}
        3. Chassis layout of the bike.
        4. to increase fuel efficency.{These tires dont look like they are made for gripping the road, as they are meant to be dragged in straight line only.}
        5. According to the news on the net, TVS tyres is rolling out new range of tires which will be soon available in the market, Shouldn't the company provide them stock fitted on the RTR's, Now they have devloped three types of compound tires, is this right to pay for new set of tires? Why didnt TVS provide the customer with a full package and might had made the best racing bike in the country against the yammaha R15.

          About tyres, its the rubber which can be accused. About those dual compound tyres, AFAIK, they will be having soft and sticky compounds on the inclination (side) of it to provide you better grip and hard compound in the middle to get you more speed.

          And, don't compare RTR with R15. We know that RTR is a really nice bike and we all love it (thats why we own it) but R15 is way too advanced to be beaten with RTR (in the respect you said). Keep in mind dude, you got RTR in 70K odd INR and R15 is 1.05-1.1L INR. If TVS would have made it as the type of R15, than we won't be able to get it at this much cheap price.

              • bi love to put my high beam on the a$$ drivers that put high beam unnecessarily n drive towards us from opposite side.
                once i switch on my high n blind them i get TOTAL RESPECT n they switch to low beam n go. i love doing this. plus at times i keep a stone with me n i throw it on them PURPOSEFULLY, specially on highways n ghat sections when they blind me n don't bother to switch to low beam.
                i hate them that much.
                they piss me off

                      Even i found it real weird... and, IMO, instead of keeping u alive, this act can even do the opposite sometime as the victim (of ur stone) will be really shocked like anything and out of shock, he can loose control or even he can be mad at you.

                      • @dead_piper - though all of us feel like throwing stones at the truckies, we dont do that coz we are civilized. Tomorrow, when you are driving a car and if someone throws stones at you coz you were using the high beam, will you be happy and go away quitely????

                        Man, i'll be careful when riding around mangalore with you guys on the loose.

                            Thats my usual route before buddy,mumbai-palakkad,via mangalore and yes i do agree most drivers are arrogant,but throwing stone at a vehicle is not a viable option,the driver may loose control and god forbid can become drastic killing innocent people.

                            @all 180 owners-which grade engine oil is recommended,the Xw 40 or Xw50?

                              • .. The above conversation was hilarious. But true high beams are killing man. But no stones for me. I too switch to high beam or use pass light like mad. Though not that many switch to low beam as a result
