The deal is about to get final in few days if everything went correct. it will be available at all TVS SVC.
Wow. If that were to happen, I guess we could all go for a synthetic while keeping warranty! Nice! good news for people who love their warranty.

Guyzz I dont know why people call tru4 a shit. This time I changed it after 2100 kms and believe me those 2100 kms were all full throttle sprints. Yesterday when I changed the oil it still had some signs of life in that.

            • @Jsg The rpm speed multiplication factor or whatever it is called is about 13.3 for the final cog. So, at 10k the speed is indeed 133km/h.

Guys, last time at a TVS authorised service center i asked them if they use the barrel oil and they said yes. Is the barrel oil they use different from the tru4??

                • 9th Service done @ 23k kms
Switched back to TVS tru4 premium oil (I told them not to change but they did by mistake )
Been using Shell since 10k kms and its not worth 600 bucks !!! It looses its charm after 2.5k kms better to run with semi syn oils and change it @ 2.5k kms interval.
                  Replaced following :
                  1) Chain set
                  2) Front Disc pads
                  3) Spark plug
                  4) Carb diaphragm

Now with new chains and tru4 oil running as good as new

                    • How one compares different oil with different price ?

Ask shell to make oil of rs 250 & then say if its better then TVS Tru 4 ?

Maybe 'coz the high revving sprints you had were small duration ones. Is it? Or you might have got a Honda or Yamaha engine under the saddle
Believe me bro, I didn't stop using it because of people throwing bad comments on it. If I'd do that, I won't be running on stock rubber especially when I ride almost 100% on Outer Ring Road + NH1 I've experienced the roughness of the engine on my own and then the experience with other oils. I hope you have tried others too. If not, use AX7 this time and see the difference

No! He should've mentioned that he had the bad/unsatisfactory experience with FS oil rather. Know about what we call here as "oil-level-decreasing-syndrome"? Maybe something like that only, if not that.

Guys is there a thread on how different oils effect an engine? I would like to know details.

Garry G, for your kind info 900 kms were part of multiple 120 kms rides on Faridabad-Gurgaon highway and 1200 kms were my non-stop ride to Kasol and back. I think its not too bad. Throttle was pinned all the time . But I would really like to use AX7 bcz of its praise, you just tell me how smooth the engine runs with AX7 in comparison of Tru4?

Sorry but you still didn't add anything new to my "kind" info Though you reminded me that thing And I guess I know you well enough to guess the bold part
Anyways, jokes apart! It may not have been felt bad before using better oils. Even I rode with TRU4 for almost 2 years, including 2 roadtrips and numerous NH1 rides. It didn't bug me much, but if I get something AX7 after paying some 50 odd INR more than TRU4, then I won't go for TRU4 again except some exceptional situations. And and and, don't go for AX7 "for all these praises"(with quite high expectations). I did that, and I didn't find it THAT good. Next time I didn't have that much high expectations, but then it made me smile "considering its price". Expecting Honda-like smoothness by changing an engine oil, that too a low costing one, ain't legit but Its quite evident that its good more than enough to get away from TRU4.
