Pics are coming dude, luckily its my birthday today so I gave myself a gift by chance. White looks good on this design and after a day with it I can say it grows on you slowly. Felt smoother than my RTR 160. Decided instantly after a test ride yesterday and had it after some hours. DRLs look nice while the main beam is off and ride is also bit pushier, will go for harder suspension settings after run in. Main reason to have it is for tours, panning many visits in weekends from now.

PSD Tyres for Apache RTR 180
Hi Prateek,Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostA friend is using MRF Vyde, but somehow it doesn't give that confidence on wet surface plus 120 profile would be a little heavy, try searching for R15 V1a rear tyre.
K&N actually gives sound....that's it. You will love the sound in the initial days but later on the sound will irritate you . On top of it as I said IMO K&N works well in higher cc bikes where there is opportunity to get more juice out of the bike. Again with this you need to upjet the bike, which I am scared of
Could you kindly confirm the configuration for the PSD tyres which can be used on the RTR 180?
Also has anyone checked if we can put the new front kowl / tail kowl / tank from the RTR 180 on the older version?
Thanks

Hey people where are you all. New breed is not that bad as we thought. Even R15 doesnt look like what it is in pics. Check this out inperson.|| My Doc says bhp is directly proportional to testosterone. I want more I want more .............. ||

IMO R15 v1 Rear tyre looks very bad so if we are looking for an MRF then Vyde is the best option out there.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostA friend is using MRF Vyde, but somehow it doesn't give that confidence on wet surface plus 120 profile would be a little heavy, try searching for R15 V1a rear tyre.

Not the PSD but Pirelli MT75 are in exactly same sizes as that of A180 i.e. 90/90-17 and 110/80-17. But I don't know if they'll be easily available.Originally posted by deviil View PostHi Prateek,

Hey do you recommend me getting Zapper Vyde? Do you think it's worth the price or should I find one from Pirelli?Originally posted by nisnth View PostFinally got the Vyde and FS for the bike and I'm loving it
FS @ Rs 1775 and Vyde @ Rs 2700 including fitting...
I did some quick laps with gravel filled corners and really loved the grip! Waiting for some rains now...

I was talking about comparison here between R15 V1's looks and new RTR's looksOriginally posted by rocker View PostI have both new and old so i think i can compare :-)
Don't take me wrong but comparison between old and new RTR (which is not required) just because you own both, does not make any senseFare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Thanks and sorry for the extremely late reply. My Hyper Edge's Air-Fuel screw is set at 5.5 revolutions from the leanest position. Still the spark plug tip looks like it could do with some more fuel. It's definitely good but yeah a very very little towards lean from the 'best' mixture. I'll try to post a pic of it tomorrow when the plug is cold as I came home just now. So I'm confused if RTR160 too has the same number of revolutions as in 180? Need your help with this.Originally posted by Drifty View Post
The same thing applies to most of the bikes including the RTR160.If you are referring to the Air-Fuel mixture screw(shown in the below pic),then its around 3 and a half turns from the leanest position, that would be the optimum mixture.
If you are looking towards changing the needle jet clip position, then setting the clip at lowest position will make the mixture too rich.It has most of the effect between 1/4th and 3/4th throttle. The engine will sputter with fuel and you can experience lazy kinda feeling in the mid range rpms if you set the clip at that setting.Best, you can add thin washers to increase the height of the needle jet by a 'little' margin which will allow 'slightly' more fuel to pass through it.This will serve your purpose if you have a free flow air filter installed in your bike.

Sorry for the OT.But couldn't resist from posting hereOriginally posted by hayaz_xlr8z View PostTook a test ride few days ago. Things i observed:
1) The vibes are gone(smoother engine).
2) gear ratios are taller.
3) acceleration weakened. No more 0-60 in <5sec.
4) top end might be bettered(i guess).
5) doesn't feel like riding rtr. Feels more like cbz xtreme.
6) looks ugly. The stickers and tank scoops looks amatuerish. The 'eyes'(not the whole headlamp), the console and the clip-on base-plate looked nice though.
7) bigger rear tyre.
8) almost similar yet a bit softer exhaust note.
9) felt a little bit heavier.
10) lower pillion seat(easy to get on and off but hampers the aggressive looks).
