And are you sure its carbon and not dirt mixed with oil?
Thanks for the reply bro It was like liquid probably the engine oil, but it was very less.
BTW,i had topped up the engine oil by 100-150ml and only after this happened when i keep the bike idle for 2-5 days.

    • ok. then the most probable reason of jerking n ignition turn-off must be due to any of these- air filter/ spark plug/ carburetor. so it is better u get ur bike serviced since u say it is to b done in the next 15 days. n specify about the 3 parts i mentioned to b checked n cleaned thoroughly to ur mech.

Had got the carb cleaned from the TVS SC just a month ago.It may be because of less fuel in the tank as prateek pointed out. Then it could be the TPS too, the mechanic said that he would replace it under warranty during next service as it was out of stock.I will specify the above things mentioned by you
And any idea about the oil like deposit, i have posted it earlier.

It is better if u post a pic of that. cause it is difficult to suggest without knowing exactly wat it is. because i dont find any reason for oil to leak from that particular place. if im not wrong then it must b the gear expelling out excess oil. im not sure, but might b.

            1) Park ur bike on the main/center stand.
            2) Start ur bike (n preferably have another person to help u out) and run the bike starting from the first gear.
            3) As it is running check the nature of the chain in between the 2 sprocket(front & Rear) i.e., if the chain is having a sinusoidal(wavy) kind of motion. This is ur first hint to show that it is something with ur chain.
Note: do not concentrate much on the sound in the above step.
            4) Now, since u tell that the sound is from the engine side of the bike.
Ask ur friend or companion to shift gears as u check at lower side of the chain. u may find that the wavy nature of the chain will be in contact with some other part of ur bike. this is caused because when u accelerate n de-accelerate, there is a kind of jerk in the chain movement. n due to this the chain may hit the chain sprockets or any other substance coming in the path of the wavy chain moment when u throttle or release it.

i have had the same issue, n got my chain kit replaced. now its fine n no more noise. so check it thoroughly. if u were not able to still find out then u might have to get ur bike checked thoroughly from a good n trustworthy mech..
Thanx abhirairtr for explaining the exercise so well. I'll check my bike for the same.

@prateek2210 and abhirairtr..I am sorry for the misunderstanding guys but i hope i typed it 15000kms. My bike has clocked a little more than 15k kms to be precise.

TPS is not the culprit here, but still if you want to replace it, no harm in it. Who don't love a new thing in bike

That explains the importance of '0' . Yes at 15k kms chain and sprockets will show signs of aging. But I being at 27k kms now, still running on original chain, just the front sprocket is of RTR160

                • Are you still facing it after filling up the petrol?
As abhirai said check those things first, TPS would come later on

                    • Went to the service center today. Told them that I'll change the oil from outside. They told me that if you change the oil from outside, you won't get engine warranty after that. Is that true or just some BS?

BTW why you just top up by 100-150ml? Do you not drain the entire oil and refill it with new oil?

They do say this, but someone wrote in the last 2 pages that nowhere in the manual says that we have to use only TRU4

The oil level had dropped a little within 1200kms, so topped up by 100-150ml.Going for the final free service next week. And would be using the Shell Ax7 (VSX) for the first time after reading good reviews

                          • Got the chain kit replaced.

                            CHN SPKT KIT RTR 180 - 1075.00
                            LABOUR - 168.00

Total - 1243.00 INR (incl of taxes)

Now there's a lot more smoothness while riding.

The noise has come down by a definite 70%. Still there is some, now and then. Is it some thing else, yet to be figured out. May vanish after clocking some miles.
