If he's getting 40-45, he definitely isn't that much of a harsh rider. The term harsh gets a new meaning when one's riding an RTR. I know it's easy getting a 45 if you shift at 4k. But once you've tasted the throttle response of rtr, you'll forget about the mileage. I bought the 160 instead of 180 for mileage but i forgot about mileage after tasting the thrill and have even regretted my decision sometimes. If you want that mileage with performance, get a p135. That's the best bet.Originally posted by blitzkreig809 View Post

If im to live with 40 kmpl wouldn't Pulsar 200NS be a better choice. At least i'll ENJOY the ride....

Again you are being too optimistic here. Being an RTR owner I know it wont give you 45kmplOriginally posted by blitzkreig809 View PostBro how difficult is to get 50 from Apache 160?? When you easily get 40-45 from Apache 180?
I'm talking about sane city riding conditions, not much of throttle twisting....

Am not saying that i'm not believing you...!
It's just that i've heard a lot of opinions from a lot of owners so it's just confusing, i remember some 160 owners telling me they gets 50-55kmpl...!

Anyways thanks for your help!!

Didn't noticed this thing as such. May be because of sharp edges in belly pan its more noticeable in new 180.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostHonestly the belly pan vibrates a lot even at the speed of 15-20kmph, first we thought its loose nuts but later on it came out to be normal characteristics of the belly pan. Do check other models to confirm its not the same with every bike|| My Doc says bhp is directly proportional to testosterone. I want more I want more .............. ||

[QUOTE=prateek2210;818932]@vivekgautams : White smoke is not a good sign. Get your bike checked thoroughly through some other reputed svc
I'v got white smoke solved but the engine vibes & noise has increased .It sounds like some component has broken off inside & is hitting against the moving parts in the crankcase .This issue started after the latest repair work. One more issue has popped up,the front brake has become very weak, its like no brakes.TVS service mechanics refuse to accept the problems including the weakened brakes. What shoul I do.?? The bike is just out of warrenty.

Run to SVC now, piston valves the culprit here. Brake pad must have lost its life. What more important is the engine now.Originally posted by vivekgautams View PostI'v got white smoke solved but the engine vibes & noise has increased .It sounds like some component has broken off inside & is hitting against the moving parts in the crankcase .This issue started after the latest repair work. One more issue has popped up,the front brake has become very weak, its like no brakes.TVS service mechanics refuse to accept the problems including the weakened brakes. Done with the 5th and final free service.Changed the TPS, the hiccups are gone now
replaced engine oil with Shell AX7, bike feels smoother now.
The handle was a bit stiff/jammed, greased it and change the front fork oil, it absorbs the humps/potholes much better now.
Overall the mechanic did a very good job.Apache RTR 180 2011 | Honda Activa 2010 | CBZ Xtreme 2010 (1 month) |Apache 160 FI 2009-2010

Thank you prateek2210, will get it fixed asap.
Guys, know any proper mechanic in B'lore, who can fix the tappet problem i'm facing.?
Any specific mods which might improve the engine performance?? I was thinking of replacing the stock tyres with pirelli MT 75 or Sport Demon. Any other suggestions..
I have fitted a HID on my beast, should i fit a relay or change anything else..??

Sports Demon is not there in RTR 180 size but you will feel more planted with Pirellis , be it MT or SDOriginally posted by vivekgautams View PostI was thinking of replacing the stock tyres with pirelli MT 75 or Sport Demon. Any other suggestions..
Yours is the AC supply RTR, correct. Long use of HID will eat up the battery. @pranav_salieri : Check the electrolyte level and get the battery checked through volt-meter. I seldom remember using kick start on my bike and the battery is still working fine.
thanks ill do it but what about the engine shut off for a few kms during mornings or after a long gap without usage????
has anyone enquired about the new rear cowl fitment????

If the battery is not getting charged enough it wont start after a gap. What is the idle rpm that you have kept?Originally posted by pranav_salieri View Postthanks ill do it but what about the engine shut off for a few kms during mornings or after a long gap without usage????Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

After First service somedays back bike is feeling a bit sluggish. There is a bit of break pressure on both wheels by default. And after 5k rpm bike feels a bit jerky. The guy at service center cleaned the sparkplug by a cloth, may be he misaligned the sparkplug head???|| My Doc says bhp is directly proportional to testosterone.
