Feels great to hear that. Do post us the updates

P.S. Hiccups are back after a while At full fury at lower Rpm's like always. The carb and jets, fuel cock sediment bowl (fuel strainer i guess) is clean. The carb might need a tune up or may be it's the T P S. I've changed it last October though.

The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

Instead why dont you buy the engine oil and get it changed during Service itself? That's how I did and i was never refused

Shell AX-7 is really a good oil, only thing is it doesn't hold well say after 1500-1800kms or so.The engine sounds rough begging for an oil change.
An AWESOME pic there Prateek.Loved it.

Thats a good combo buddy.I have ridden a RTR with both R15v1's front and rear, the confidence it gives is altogether from a different world. But yes,you ll definately miss the ride quality courtesy the lower profile rear tyre.

                    • Emergency! Help please!

A little off topic but :

Like many people i don't like the new apache and i was seriously considering buying one.

I called a certain TVS dealership in Delhi and asked them if they have the old Apache in stock, He told me only some dual-disc Apache 160 were present(it just slipped off my mind to ask him whether its Fi or Carb one) and i can get it. iasked him for a discount since i'm buying an old version, He said he can waive off 2000 and give it to me at 76600 OTR.
This was just a telephone conversation, i'm sure if i visit him and show genuine interest in it i will get more discount....

                      Should i go for it?

I'm pretty sure its the carb version, fi's were out of production for a very long time. I think you should bargain a little more, dont know what the OTR price of RTR 160 is... go for it if you like the bike and if its affordable, and also check in a couple of more ASS... i have passed by about 6 TVS ASS in Hyderabad and all of them had the previous versions in stock...

Actually im a 20 year old student. I still need to go through the 'Why i need a bike' talk with my dad. I will talk to him on 25th(when my exams end). I like Apache from the beginning and want to have it because it fulfills my needs, is affordable, returns 55+ kmpl, and is the most powerful in its class(except the R15 of course). Im just worried that i may not get another chance at the old version.

And yes I WILL bargain further. At least 5000 to kam krvaunga.

Whats the procedure of getting a bike through CSD? My nana was in army i can get it in his name(further 8000 off if im guessing right)

                            • Since i bought my bike 2 months ago i've always wanted to go out for a long ride. Finally after 2months 20days and 3400Kms on my oddo i went for a long ride today... The trip was 250kms long and the bike impressed me each and every mile. There wasn't a problem with it. Did a bit off-roading, rode on the Ghats and it was a joy to ride her. To top it up did all this with a pillion rider. The only bad thing was the ear pain due to my faulty helmet and a drop in my Mileage. Anyways this trip will always be treasured in my Heart and i hope that there are many more beautiful and memorable miles to my covered on my love!

Yes it is safe to complete the self-check before hitting the starter button, it only takes a moment why's the hurry for :P

My cousin owns an Apache 180 and told me never to hit the start button during the self check.
