    • Could anybody explain me, here whether a RTR is a superB handler for cornering and scraping knees or it's just ok. I am asking this becuz a fellow RTR'ian commented somewhere on this forum that an RTR is a suberB handler, cornering and knee scraping are too good on this bike.

YES the bike is good for cornering and scraping knees, but the stock tyre doesn't allow it to do so

First dont used SMS lingo's and write clearly what you want you want to write....

If you see a dust mixed with the oil at the cylinder even after cleaning it, your cylinder is leaking, probably from the pipe joint, get it checked.

It's been going on from ages right from the RTR160 days that every AUTO MAG and moto journo awarded RTR for it's awesome performance 'round track even with the $hitty TVS tires in dry conditions, so you can do the math how it'll perform with good soft soumpound ones.

What a fellow RTR'ian reported and you read was just right.

Hiccups were earlier trademark for FI only, i think the small jet is prone to get choked in the 180, get it cleaned, it'll solve the problem.

Make it 22 front and 28 rear for Solo ride.

@renny: Owner's Manual Suggest 25 PSi for the Front Tyre. Will it be fine if I too run on 22PSi, because all what I had known is that less pressure results sometimes in more grip..

less pressure will always result in more grip, as the surface of the tire will hug more groung due to the low pressure, but it damages the side walls, which ultimately brings down the life of the tire (but who cares with the TVS tires, you got to change them anyways) that's why i run on 22 ar front, but this is in the case of dry conditions.

Running less pressure than the recommended at the wet roads (RAINS) will result in improper aquaplanning by the tire (amount of water displaced by the tire when it comes to the contact of the tarmac), that will ultimately result in the tire riding on the thin sheet of water, hereby providing the rider no grip at all.

In rains always check the pressure of the tire once a week, make it a habit.

it wont rust as such, apply a little vaseline to it, i have a little paint removed portion on my bike too, cuz of the pump guy.

solo tire pressure in rains should be 23-25 front and 28-32 rear.

                        • @all
Thanks for clearing out my doubt. Till now I was confused whether the tyres are culprit or the bike (as a whole) is a bad handler. But, from your replies I came to know that it's only tyre thing that is sucking the juice of this mill.

                            • Seems like the 180s are delivering pretty consistent mileage of 38-42km/ltr in normal riding conditions as reported by most of the owners.
