  • Just saw a few videos online about clutchless gear changes and also tried it a few times on the RTR its much faster and smoother but i want to know does it do the same amount of harm as done when using the clutch, are the any disadvantages??Also is it ok to do it on the RTR cause the videos had high end bikes like the R1 and Ninja which are built for rough use and super duper speed !

          Welcome Iceman to Tribe Apache
Check the barcode sticker for manufacturing date(will be in number plate/rhs front)
Check for any major dents/scratches. Insist on another bike if available or else push for discount.
Advance wishes for a joyful ownership!

clutch-less upshift is not that harmful, but down-shift really is,having said that this practice is not recommended.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
            #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Didnt get the Skidding part? by the way i got 47kms per litre this time but i was ripping the bike a few times and avg speed of 70kms otherwise.
higher the tyre pressure, more are the chances of skidding while applying brakes especially if tyres are tvs

But the lone Problem still exists.... Jerks/Hick ups @ 3-3.5k RPM.... nobody has an answer to it...
Funny thing is now I have to ride my bike above 6000 RPM...
                    Jerks @<4000 RPM.
                    Vibrations @4000-5500 RPM.
5km above would've been great especially at 3:33
the real fun is above 6k. You're enjoying your rtr

apache 160 is 70k in my city and 78k in banglore. I guess this is due to banglore, mumbai being costly cities. I think delhi is cheapest

I wasnt referring to you, man. It was just a general statement!!

Btw the RTR crossed 35k kms and the engine decarb has also been completed The bike still is a stonker and has been niggle free(touchwood!). The rear tyre has been nearing its life but myself and my brother are yet to have any concerns from it as far as handling is concerned. Only while hard cornering, we need to be a wee bit alert as the rear feels nervous.

                              hey check for :-
1.check for seat cover by removing the seat from the bike
                              2.odo of the bike
3.ABS is running or not (if abs is not running the ABS light will glow constantly and if ABS is OK and light will keep blinking then wen you will drive above the speed of 10km/h the ABS light will not glow )
4.check for body if got any dents or scratches
5.check for tool kit and first aid (they came along with the bike but i just making you sure to check)

dat's it correct me if i am missing something
