The accelerator cable is stuck somewhere, get hold of it and move it back and forth, it'll solve it.

Follow the run-in as per the manual.Originally posted by kukku035 View PostI own an RTR that is just a week old...... Yesterday i took my bike for a 50km ride. I was cruising at about 100-110 during most of the journey.
Oh yes! Its 9:something.... thanks!Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post91 octane fuel is only recommended for vehicles with engine compression ratio of 10.0:1 and beyond. Your vehicle is less than 10.0:1.

Hi friendz,

Love the acceleration it packs.

I prefer filling xtrapremium while going for long rides coz most of the time i ride at around 90-100 kmph and i feel bike goes smoother with xtrapremium than normal one. Acceleration is also smooth and its not psychological. Haven't tried any other brand so cannt comment. I guess friction buster thing is not just a spoof.
The only problem which is still there is the sound from front part (not talking abt fairing) still not abt to find out from where it is coming and its coming in the Vib range 65-75kmph. My best guess is whole fork assembly along with handlebars
. Anybody with this kind of issue or any solutions?

May be it's psychological but it works well for the bike and i can notice immediate difference.Preferably,I avoid high octane fuel for the bike as people here mention it again and again that it's only for high compression ratio or above 10.But like you two have mentioned,I too feel there's a difference in acceleration ..something related to smoothness..Originally posted by flyingJian View PostI prefer filling xtrapremium while going for long rides coz most of the time i ride at around 90-100 kmph and i feel bike goes smoother with xtrapremium than normal one. But I feel Xtrapremium waala here do jhol.At times when I fill oil from HP,there ain't much change in the bike's smoothness..
Try Speed, the difference is immediately felt compared to normal fuel...Last edited by shivank; 04-26-2010, 08:55 PM.If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Xtrapremium doesn't have any additives unlike speed or power. It's only difference is that it's 91 octane. Speed and power (not 93/97) on the other hand are regular 87 octane with detergents added.
People can say all they want about high-octane fuels being only for high-compression engines but i've noticed better performance and cooler running with a number of bikes from the RD, cbz, boxer and the fi. Here's something even better. I have a total of 4 IOC pumps in my area where i get xtrapremium. But the one closest to my home gives me the best performance. Go figure.
p.s. how do you turn of the annoying new toolbar at the bottom of the page. why do people keep forcing new features on you?

i don't believe so....There's nothing psychological about that, there is some markable difference while using xtra premiumOriginally posted by rennycornelius View PostIt's more of a phycological thing rather than the actuall, i bet if he pours extra premium or any thing like that from a normal petrol dispenser, no one will then talk about the smoothness here.
