      • went on a long 160+km ride to complete my run in asap today...riding at a constant speed of 60-70kmph was no fun though.Stopped for a while and guess what,my hands had gone numb because of the vibes...open roads were irrestible and hence went over the ton mark more than twice and also clocked 123kmph on the speedo.All this while my odo was still reading just over 750kms...over 6k,the vibes are hardly noticeable.But I found something odd.Sometimes,the tacho needle vibrates just a bit(at higher rpm ie)and suddenly stablizes...Is it a trait in all RTRs or is it a prob?...

          And if you continue to rev that hard I am sure the tacho needle will come out of it very soon!..

          @Shivank
          Did you get cleared off your previous doubt on speedo-error?
          Definitely,shOrt wheelbase helps but what i love the most is its handlebar weight ..It's very responsive and confidence inspiring unlike the RTRs..Don't you people feel the handle is too light of the RTR?

          And yes chicane bhai..I've my doubts clear now!..(speedo-error)
          If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

            The needle vibrates near 8k since its birth. If you want new speedo console, ride in that region maximum time and get new speedo and low mileage bike for free.
            There's lot to it other than saddle....

              i think the handlebar of the RTR and the 1st gen APACHE are different..in terms of the material...thats what makes it light...and incase of the RTR it is split unlike the apache...so u loose some wght there too..and its not too light..its just pefect for the RTR..thats wat i feel..wat say guys??

                well,I kept the bike below 7-6.5k most of the time.Touched those rpms ocassionally ie hardly 3-4 times during the entire ride for very short durations

                  i have not touched 8k yet..but i have a doubt if the needle vibrates only at 8k or after that too ??

                      I think that varies from bike to bike as the vibration characteristics of an engine will be different. The 'old' meter of mine used to vibrate a lot but the newer one isn't that shaky.Touchwood!!

                      Bought 2 cans of Veedol Super Swift 10W40 for the RTR and the Victor.Each Can costs 270 bucks but thanks to Rs.20 discount coupon i got them for Rs.250 each. Let's see how it performs on both the bikes but i am more interested in seeing its performance on the Victor as i will be using semi-synthetic for the first time in 7 n 1/2 years!!

                          • Guys, is there anyone getting mileage around 47-48? I'm consistently getting around 47 to 48. Everyone is puzzled even 160 owners dont get this mileage. How much do u ppl get? just to know and at what speeeds do u usually ride? Interesting thing is i get caught in traffic most of the time and i still get good mileage.
                            Young riders pick a destination and go, Old riders pick a direction and go !

                              Do post a review of the oil. Even the shop owner here asked recommended me this oil highly. But i was a little skeptical in taking it as i havent heard any prior reviews about it from anyone else.
                              You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

                                depends a lot on the riding styles, may be you're too of a gentle throttle guy, or may be you're running a lean mixture.
