        top speed has nothing to do with the lean mixture buddy, morning starts, pull in each gear, knocking at the wrong RPM,throttle response shows a lot about the correct and wrong mixture.

          • ^^ Oh...isse mujhe bhi yaad aaya!

            I am getting close to 35-36km/litre..But that is only possible if shifting @5-6k..The bike easily does 80kmph to 5th..so there's no problem to continue riding like this..But if you slip a moment in it's power and sound and rev the nuts off..the result is just the opposite!...27-29kmpl...
            If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

                • @ Chothibai: Hey thanks for the 3 rtr's in one pic but i would like the 3 rtr's in their colors
                  rtr 180-white
                  rtr 160fi-orange(seen in the pic)

                  rtr 160-yellow

                  @All: i am seeing the thread from the first day.most of you guys getting 35-38 kmpl & some 40+ mileage, why this difference ? Is the bike is not properly tuned ? (from factroy) or the different styled riding ?

                    silencer of right from "luna" to "hero puch" and going to P220 and BULLET 500 can also be fitted on RTR180...
                    but fitting silencer other than the original will result in power loss, excess or lower back pressure that'll result in piston frying, drop in performance and efficiency...
                    stick to the original or contact Mr. JOEL...

                    @chothibai:

                    nice pics.
                    remove the rubber from the rear pegs, the all alloy look will be more eye catching.

                    depends on both a lot on the riding style and by the wrong/improper mixture settings.

                      as for the mileage part,I'll have to agree with renny

                          If it does this way once in a blue moon again then dont worry, it gets ok after refreshing it..
                          dont worry, no need to opt for a change.

                              there are two screws at the lower side of the pegs, open them and slide the rubber out.
