I was servicing my byk from an authorized tvs service center .......
i was planning to leav my byk for 3rd servicing in the sercive center for the 3rd service but happen to see a msg on one of my friends mob , which states not to Leav tvs byks for 3rd services bcoz the svc would steal the orginal parts .........
      ............................Is this true .......................................?

My first sercive and the 2nd service was pritty good from svc and also i know that i will not get the warrenty if i dont service it from tvs svc ......

can we use an oil with a grade of 10w - 40w, bcoz the tvs manual states us to use 20w - 40w.... by using the grade 10w -40w will it effect the byks engine in the long run...?

you can put R15's front pegs in the front, i've done that, will post the pics.

                • @renny...

How much do they cost?..I was also thinking to change the stock ones with those a few months back but the service centre waala told me it'll void the warranty!!..And even when i ask him to put oil of some other brand he quotes the same!

i guess 20W is ideal for operating conditions in india...as temperatures now a days are soaring high in most parts...and if u use a 10W thn i fear the oil will get thin at higher operating temp. coz of low viscosity...and may result in wear and tear...so i will say go for 20W...unless u r commuting in a place where the ambient temp. is arnd 25C-28C...
Nothing feels better than to gear up and burn some rubber ! ! !

i guess rtr 180 have racing pegs both at front and rear...u just have to slide the rubber out..by removing the 2 screws ! ! !..i havent done that yet..but will figure it out 2day...do u mean by racing pegs which doesnt have an extension below it(@renny - again forgot the terminology) ???

No dear you cannot slide the rubber out of the front set of pegs!

And the peg feelers are there in the r15 foot pegs as in any other race peg..

i think u shld give a bit more time...let the moving parts gets smoothen out completely..thn u can switch 2 a synthetic too ! ! !...do flush the engine completely b4 switching 2 synthetic or semi synthetic.
