Me too a Mechanical Engineer.According to my own findings, Majority of the owners of TVS Bikes are Engineers.No offence to anyone, as this might seem very lame but this is what i have noticed in last 7 years.

Nothing concrete has come up from TVS officially about the launch of bigger bikes.May be in 6 months or so, we would at least get some concrete rumour.

TVS is not gng 2 launch any bike in the major(220) segment this year...AFAIK...there are some launch...but all in mid segment..may be one or two....and this info is reliable.

Head oil leak

Hi guys..
Serious problem in my bike..
theres kind of oil leakage in the head of my bike..
It appears like black sediments above the layer of the head..
it occurs on the right side of the head alone..
can any one provide me a solution for this problem..

My bike has covered 4000kms shall i leave it for 3rd service..
Service here at coimbatore is worst..
Im confused wat to do..
Pls help me out..

there's always this little oil at the head of this engine right from the FIERO days, but after attracting dust it looks like it's big one...

your pic is not clear to see the amount of oil the head is leaking, if it's little then no worries, it's normal, (thin layer), but if it's leaking more the seals are gone,check after wiping it off.

The seals are gone i think..
i cleaned a huge amount of oil from the head..
The nos 180 written on the head was covered by oil..
only after cleaning i was able to find the written letters..
will it cost a lot to replace the seals..??

it should be covered under warranty as 4000kms is not much for an oil seal to say bye bye...
report the matter at the SC.

Hey guys...got my white beauty 2day...my 1st bike after 1.5 years of job ! ! !....felt awsome whn i had ma 1st ride...

now the chks i carried out 1st..
1. 0-60 timer - 9.9 secs..so i thnk my baby is still a virgin..
2. ODO - 9kms....so felt a sigh of relief that it has not been ripped ! ! !
rest all are the normal chks before having an awsome ride bak 2 home..

The ride till now -
70 odd kms 2day..trd my best 2 keep it below 5k rpm and below 60kmph..really tgh 2 do that tho..

issues till now -
1.Gear shifting is really rough....especially downshifts...had more than 10 false gears till now...and had to really apply some force for downshifts...upshifts are ok compared 2 that...

2.Braking not upto the mark...both front and the rear.

3.a hint of rattling noise coming from lower part of the engine...have 2 figure out the exact location tho...

4.top speed is displaying as 160...GOD knows how??...and 0-60 timer is still 9.9.....now i have a serious doubt if at all it is bng ripped b4 i owned it or not...???

i guess the 1st two issues will be sorted out after some running..wat say guys..and for the last two do give me ur feedback...

Guys my bike has started giving way too much vibrations. Its really putting me off. It wasnt this much when i bought it or maybe i didnt notice it then? But now the vibes are starting really bad right below 4k and staying till 6k on the handlebars and all throughout the rev range on footpegs.
