Hi Guys, a quick question on sprockets. I have an Rtr 160 fi model now converted into a carburetted 180 cc setup. My question is should I stick with the sprocket size of 160 (13/44) or go for 180 (14/46). I recently changed into the 160 setup but I feel the first and 2nd gear is too short for my liking. This was not the case earlier with 180 sprockets. So do u think I should upgrade just the front sprocket into a 14 teeth one or go for the 180 setup totally. If anyone can throw some light here would be great!!

Okay. So thats what they charge excluding the oil & filter change right ?
Actually I do not want to continue with the tvs oil after the free services. So i just plan to do the normal wash & check up at the svc & oil change by myself. By the way can we buy the oil filter from the svc ?

Yes that's the charge without oil and oil filter.
Yes you can buy only the oil filter at svc, it is 38 bucks.

Anyone running michelin pilot sporty 110/80 17 at rear? I saw in the website that its there for front only. Can the tyres marketed as front used as rear because it matches with RTR 180's rear.

If its possible then I would go for that for rear and mrf zapper fy1(r15 v1's front tyre) 90/80 17 for front. Else I will have to get street pilot 120/80 or zapper vyde 120/80. I do not want to upsize my bike's tyres. Any other good alternative? Everyone has given mixed responses of their choice in the forum.

Also I found this

don't know if its a good comparison. someone help?

Pilot sporty is available in 120/80-17 for the rear. However if you don't want to upsize you can go for MRF ZAPPER C 110/80-17. I'm running ZAPPER-C 120/80 without any problem or drop in acceleration or mileage
Don't use front fitment tyre for the rear because the tread pattern will be different. Pilot sporty front has two ridges in the centre while the rear ones don't have that.

any other alternative with soft compound rubber in the stock size for rear?

how abou r15v1's downsized 100/80 17? Is downsizing advisable?

Don't downsize. You have many other options such as Pirelli Sport Demon.
If you downsize the bike will also loose its overall visual appeal
You can go for the zappers as they provide very good grip and enhance the looks too..
You better go for zapper vyde as many of the experts in this forum have suggested and also confirmed that they haven't lost pickup and mileage too. vivekgautams is using mrf revz on his ride and he has given positive feedback about it so i think u can search for that tyre too.

Oh okay I think MRF revz is 130 or 140 which is too big for rtr? Anyway I want better grip! I'll start the search from tonight little seriously :P

No you just check page 1399. He is running on 120/80 revz. It would be great if he could throw some light on this.
Anyways u search for good ones and keep us updated about your selection.
Cheers!
