guys i have two problems with my bike right now......
1.the service indicator has started blinking, i just gave my bike for servicing 2 days ago.2650 on odo now.it should have started blinking at 2500 right? it didnt blink at that reading.
2.the vibration sound from the handlebar the rtr180 logo has again started.it wasnt there 2 months ago and after my second service 2 days ago it vanished.today i revved up the bike till about 9 rpm and now after i cross 4 rpm that irritating sound comes it sounds something like trrrrrrrrrrrrrrr trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. please help me out.this sound is very irritating.

Hey guys i too started gettin tht strange noise....went to meet my trusted SVC mech guy..... he just opened the front fairing....removed the lock-ignition key unit.....greased the small rod tht comes out of tht lock-ignition unit, whn in lock position (it has a small hole from where grease could b filled in,,,,,make sure the rod is out i.e, lock position whn greasin)........ and tht sound was vanished.... ....may b this cud solve the problem in some cases.... the mech told me this was common with most of the menaces (his genral mentality told him tht people tend to shake the handle bar when in lock position and this tends to loosen tht rod and hence the vibs sound)Originally posted by pranav_salieri View Postguys i have two problems with my bike right now......

TVS RTR 180 Racing Kit...Whts this all bout????
guys...guys....guys.....yesterday i finally went to TVS SVC to chk up on my menace (few weeks ago i crashed, and hd to leave it in SVC for parts replacement).... My menace is comin bak to me this wednesday.....but tht ain`t important
there i saw another menacer up with his apache for tyre chk....wen asked for, he was kind enough to lemme tke his for a small ride....and i should say....MIND BLOWING..... hits a 134 easily....whereas mine goes till 109 only (Now i knw from where the 55 mileage came from )....my mech must hv tuned it for better mileage 
... he told he hd this Racing Kit installed in hi menace..... and i was like 
..... racing wat!!!
Anybody could help me understand...just did a few google...found some youtube vids and some other forum regarding basic details......but is it woth installing?Comment

You dont need any Racing Kit.... I did a top of 128 yesterday !! I had been to Hogenakkal Falls from Bangalore. A round trip of 320 kms. I had such a great time riding my Menace ! And guess what, I had not even a bit of back/body ache after I returned ! A Bigggg Salute to my Apache !

Take your bike to the SVC, they will reset it. May be they forgot to reset it while servicing !Originally posted by pranav_salieri View Post

and guys you wont BELIEVE i got a mileage of 54 kmpl.i set my trip when the bike hit reserve and my bike when up to 92 kms when the bike stopped.which brings me to my next question. does the rtr fully utilise the reserve fuel or does it have usuable reserve? i think the usuable reserve is 1.7 as mentioned for RTR 160. if it is then my bike has given a mileage of 54 kmpl!!!!WOW!! no wonder it isnt going beyond 113!!!i am happy to keep it this way!!!

Hey man really great pics...hope u had a great riding experience. Regarding the top speed....wen we do 128 on ours...the engine sounds like it hs reached its limit i.e. near 10-11k rmp on meter......but tht damn bike does tht 130kmph in 7-8k range....i guess thts a huge difference....... now if i hd took it to 10-11k range...thn i might hv been lying in a hospital bed i guessOriginally posted by nisnth View Post

. btw mine runs for 119 until full stop from the time it hits reserve ...so calculate mine .
There is nothin mentioned by tvs about usable reserve and unusable reserve.....they hv said clearly tht reserve is 2.5lts
