  • Ok first of all.My bike, which I'm still driving daily, Apache 180(Joel'ed). Bought it on 3rd July 2009, no of kilometers done is 30500kms, not sure how many people here have ridden the bike more than that. SO I can assume my experience with the RTR180 will be little more better than others who have not driven so much. And ya I have done almost all the things on the bike except stunting, because I care for the bike too much.
Have driven R15 jus once and that too in 2009, before I had A180 and I still went for RTR180.
I'm exactly not sure why people need to crush other's ego and why most of the people assume that other's have ego and need to crush it. With one question of mine you both felt so offended, now who is having the ego? You didn't even cared to look which bike I drive.
Garry, just speed doesn't define which bike is better. R15 was built as a track machine, it beats RTR hands down on track and RTR was built for city riding and it is definitely a better bike than R15 in city( my reason to go for RTR180 ), but that doesn't mean R15 is not good for city.
I have seen many times in XBHP, people criticizing others for not wearing helmets, even if the other person was riding only for 100 or 200 meters, driving without helmet is not et all encouraged in XBHP and same goes for city racing, it should not be encouraged et all. You don't need to show anyone that your bike is faster than other's. It has already been proven in test conditions and you don't need to prove it again. Racing on streets in not recommended, even motogp racers say so and one should not do it.
One more eg for bike comparison: One of my friend is having Unicorn and he always says that his bike is better than mine. It gives more mileage, it is more comfortable, engine is very smooth and bike doesn't make any sound ( mine is Joel'ed, you can imagine the sound, and then compare it with Unicorn ). Now you guys tell me, what should I say to him, my bike is better than yours in 0 - ANY SPEED.
@Shivank, you may have heard about maths and numeral systems( which will even say that my bike is faster than many of the fast cars, maybe in comparison of 0 - 1 or 2kmph ) but there is a lot more to learn about biking.
Enjoy your ride and thats the reason bikes are made for.
    Peace out.

The SVC guys ought to carry out all the jobs mentioned as regards first service in your users manual. You should go through the manual as well, just to get an idea. We can't just stay at the svc and watch them working right? So what i do is trust them on this, and after getting the bike ride it, so as to ensure every thing's working li'l better than before If you can, try to use a mineral oil like Motul 3000 4T plus 10w40. You can give the oil at the time you hand over the ride or go over there later and get it done like at the time of delivery or at a time in between (tell them about this aspect). Ensure that they replace the oil filter too.

About K&N, i suggest you to stick with the stock filter itself. The gain is marginal and for that, you need to increase the size of the main jet along side a bigger carb (correct me if wrong). Your warranty might get void if you are going for this mod. Just maintain the stock one in clean condition and would be perfect.
      +1.
Always get oil changed in front of you only. You can also try Shell's semi synthetic. You can get it on Shell's petrol pump.
I will also suggest to stay with stock filter.

Hey bro, sorry for the late reply. Have been busy with work this week. You are right, it feels like it starts missing and stalling. I could see the rpm needle swing back and climb back till that point. (It is almost similar to what happens in my car when I hit the rev limiter.)

My friend, who was trailing behind, said he could hear some strange noise.

Anyways, jokes apart, why did you just came with the intentions of proving your bikes' abilities here which, indirectly, will most probably gonna lead to some brand war? See, we happily accepted, even stated ourselves, that your steed can outperform ours after 100kmph. Then why don't you guys simply accept that till 100kmph (or so), RTR is better performer? No matter who owns which bike, just accept what they really are

No, if someone has ridden more number of kilometers than the other, its doesn't always mean that he knows more than the other one. Though, by this, I don't mean that you know less than me or anyone else

Do you mean stunters don't love their bikes? If so, you can't even say that you've a considerable knowledge about bikes. Many of the stunters ,sometimes, even take the beating to their bodies just to save their bikes P.S. No, I ain't a stunter.

I don't know why people interpret others' statements only the way they themselves want to. Did I say that RTR is better than R15 in ALL ASPECTS?

Hope you google'd those two words.

                  PERIOD, Peace out.

@Shivank: Didn't expect your statement turning true so early Even if you try making peace, people blindly back-fire on you.

I said because I have ridden that bike a lot. And I know very well how it behaves when it was 10k kms old, when it was 15k kms old, 25k kms old and now at 30k kms. Bike doesn't remains same always and thats where more number of kilometers bring more experience.

Do you mean stunters don't love their bikes? If so, you can't even say that you've a considerable knowledge about bikes. Many of the stunters ,sometimes, even take the beating to their bodies just to save their bikes P.S. No, I ain't a stunter.

Ok, I'm not sure what do u meant by less knowledge if I dont do stunting. I don't want to know also. People who do stunting have to invest a more than people who dont, and I invest in other ways( got Joel's kits). So I don't want to do any damage to the bike, I enjoy biking other way.

I don't know why people interpret others' statements only the way they themselves want to. Did I say that RTR is better than R15 in ALL ASPECTS?

Same thing goes for you to buddy. You did the same.
I didnt said that you said RTR is better than R15 in all aspects. But if you want to show an R15 rider that my bike is better than your bike in 0 - 100kmph, its no brainer, you are not even showing respect to your bike.

Hope you google'd those two words.
What you said jokingly I said seriously, my bad that I didnt quote the full reply.
And the reason I said that because I know people do that on roads, even if they consider(fake) it to be bad or say jokingly. I'm not pointing finger on any one but have seen many people riding fast in the cities just to show that their bikes is faster.

                    PERIOD, Peace out.

Thats true. One more thing is true, people dont look at bigger picture and fight for small things.

We all have very good bikes and we consider it to be better than others, thats why we buy that and not any other bike. And every sensible biker knows here how good one bike is, even if they have not ridden it. We all know how fast RTR is, but we don't have to prove that, especially not inside city. And if someone is in doubt just handover that BIKE India magazine to that person.
