lol... when the issue gets resolved, you are asking what went wrong?

      • Have a few doubts, please answer with patience...
1.Will turning the AFR screw clockwise make your bike leaner or richer?
2.What are the observable symptoms of a bike on lean mixture/rich mixture?(Without complicated procedures like checking the spark plug etc,...)
3.Is lean mixture one of the possible reasons for mis firing?(phut-phut sound from exhaust)...

Dont have concrete answers to these.. but to 3, this sound is caused due to 'after-burn' - burning of unburnt fuel in the exhaust or something like that

            1. Clockwise = lean.
            2. Lots actually, engine heating up,surging in low revs, lack of top-end,higher avg, carb blow out ,that is carb gets blown off the intake manifold, like a dabba on top of a diwali atom-bomb.These are some observable ones with regard to engine running lean.Rich? missing in revs, smoking, lazy throttle feel.
            3. Yup

My advise? Don't play around with the carb.

                  2) After how many kms should I switch to fully synthetic oil?
                  Bump. Anybody?

I am riding RTR+ABS for the last 1 month. have completed 2300+ kms. Here in Goa it rains very heavily, however I haven't faced any problems of skidding. Thanks to ABS, and also I think TVS has installed a newer version of the rear tyre for the ABS version. It doesn't sport the "shreechakra" name on it.

                    This is just my observation.

And regarding the oil change I think Senior members out here should help you on that. I am just a newbie here gaining knowledge currently

If you are going for ABS, no need to go for tyre change. TVS tyres are not that bad as people call it( I have used them for more than 30k kms on my RTR 180 ).

As for the oil change to fully synthetic, dont go for it. Joel once told that RTR is sensitive to fully synthetic oil, you may feel clutch( or gear ) slippage, and he was right, my bike had fully synthetic oil and I felt the same problem. You can go for premium mineral from Shell or Semi synthetic from Shell.

u would get a 14mp cam for cheaper price.. but the reason y i recommended this cam is cause its got manual controls.. and since u want for macro pics.. i personally feel its best in the range..
using it from 4-5 months [nikon coolpix s570] s3100 is the upgraded version of s570..
                          Thanks for your response, buddy.

Could you please compare Nikon CoolPix s3100 and Canon Powershot A2200?

                          I'm confused between these two.
