Bro i had told you that your carb needed tuning when you had posted your prob a while back.Seems like the guys believe in changing parts rather than diagnosing what's the issue, you're lucky that your bike's under warranty now,but be careful about the same mode of diagnosing once the warranty is over. It'll leave big hole in your pocket.

Try and explain it a bit more in performance terms. That is if it reaches 9k plus rpm in the first 2 gears, what does it feel like?
Try and put a pic of the plug here.

My guess is they've tuned the carb very lean, hence the hesitation to reach higher revs.Next time ask them as to what was wrong with the parts replaced.Have they shown in the bill that carb has been replaced under warranty?
The prob with carb is,it's not easy to tune. That's why i never play around with it and nor ask anyone to tamper with a setting which is working. Then again diagnosing carb issues is pain in the neck.So most of the time the ASC's simply replace the carb.

        • RTRs bought in may '11

Another update. took my bike for 3rd service on 1st. the mech said that he felt some problem in clutch and asked if i had bought the bike in may. i said yes and he said that that batch had some problem with clutch. when i got the bike back he said the clutch plate was a bit loose and the clutch did feel a bit more responsive.
there was however another issue. the area of tank behind lockable side panel had turned orange. on removing fuel tank it was found that the sensor mounting screws on the bottom were loose. now fully tightened but would again check in a week to see if it continues. would post pic tomorrow. you guys can too check fr the clutch and tank leakage.

I'll go to the ASC and try to talk to the mechanic for sometime...
They did not mention in any bill that the carb or any other part has been changed.
Reaching high revs feels pretty much the same way it used to feel when i tried to red line... may be its a bit more stiff...
One more thing i observed is that the bike revs a little more freely@5th gear after trying to reach high rpm's at 1st gear... Havn't tried to rip it much...

LOL!! It seems more as some joke

Anyways, congratz and welcome to the tribe

About the stopping at signals, don't worry with time, you'll be able to use clutch better and the problem will go off.

Even I have the same issue. Like, if I reach at least up to 7k rpm and higher in first two gears, then only am I able to reach a 90km/hr +, else bike struggles at 70km/hr. During My 2nd servicing, I had mentioned this issue. But all they had done was increased My idle RPM, that too at 2k rpm!!
                  ODO reading is 2500km.
Also noticed one more thing, whenever I brake using rear one, there is some of this screaching type of noise and sometimes when I brake, I get a "khat-khat" noise. Any specific reason why this might be?

I forgot to mention, i had very low air pressure till today morning, i was maintaining 18-19 psi due to some reasons... Did my bike's performance drop because of this?

Yup,it sure would make it sluggish.

Yup, a low air pressure makes bike's performance drop a lot! Once My bike's tire pressure had gone down and didn't bother to check. Later when I filled it up, got an amazing response. For more performance, use nitrogen, as it is lighter. I use the same and can be found at HP petrol pumps.

what kind of prob is it facing dude, if it is simple(like showing 160kmph on meter then its ok...) if its severe, its best to go for a replacement..

You mean the speed reading is not there and the odo (kilometers sweeped) reading ain't increasing and rest all like clock, fuel etc are working, is it? If so, then your speedo sensor's connector may've been loosen, got water in it or might have gone kaput. If its gone, then you need to replace the speedo sensor cable (sensor comes embedded in a cable) is needed to be replaced. 400 buck damage, but for you its all free under warranty By the way, before just blasting some bad words on the mechanic, check if it is just a loose connector
