I advice you not to play with swingarms until you are very sure about the pros and cons of tweaking the bike's geometry.

An update guys
Had quite an amount of backfiring or rather popping from the exhaust since 2 months. It was always there when the engine decelerates through 3000 rpm (throttle rolled off). Popping would sound kind of like 'dhap, dhap' and it's little bit annoying too.
After replacing the TPS, this thing vanished along with the lag/hiccups at lower rpm.The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

No, the shocks come in singles only. Cost 1600 for one and 3200 for a pair. I changed both before my Leh ride.Originally posted by Zippo View PostI guess the shocks come in pairs. So the price mentioned by Lijok should be for a pair (Just a guess). Better check with your spares dealer.

Dude, where did you get the TPS unit from? It was not there in either Anton on Logtech... I also have this back firing problem since some time.Originally posted by Rtrlover83 View PostAn update guys

Bro, i bought the new TPS unit from Logtech TVS last Tuesday eve. Some SVC guy's both at Anton and Logtech won't grasp what it is, one has to explain like, how it looks, what does it do and where is it locatedOriginally posted by lijok View PostDude, where did you get the TPS unit from? @lijok: why did you replace the TCI for?... just curious...
BTW guys, i had an accident today afternoon, i saw a cbz popping out of a street and i breaked, i dont know what happened next, dont even remember if i hit the bike or skidded, totally clueless, i was in shock, i remember some 4-5 year old boy crying when the cbz fell down and people were checking if the boy got hurt, thankfully he didnt have a scratch, the cbz guy immidiately went away... there are no signs of me crashing with the cbz, so i guess we both skidded. Now coming to the damage part, i have a few bruises on my hands and i dressed them myself, my right hip is paining when i put stress on it, i guess giving it rest will be enough.
Bike damage: The speedometer asselmbly is totally damaged, there are scratches on the visor and the grey plastics around the head light and silencer guard(will that be replaced under insurance or will they refuse since its just scratches).
My right crash guard got bent and it has pushed the fuel tank up... as a result of which my fuel tank is tilted towards the left slight, it is slanting, is this some serious damage.
My bike is 16 months old and has insurance(IFFCO-TOKIO).Apache 180

Glad that you are ok. Shit happens!
Get well soon. Take rest over the weekend atleast.
The tank will move up and down etc, its placed on rubber bushes. So when you take off the bend crash guard, it will be ok. Please replace the crash guard. trying to fix it will weaken it and next time it wont do its work and will snap.
You can take up the work under insurance, but plastic and fiber parts they give only some part of the cost. It will be better than putting the whole money from your pocket anyway. Tell them dog jumped across and you hit it and fell..

Found a pic as of the details provided by You, but don't know who did it.Originally posted by Jeanie View Post1600 for one !
! anyone tried modding rtr to a monoshock setup . i kinda want to have a little more stability that a longer swing arm provides and am thinking if the r15 aluminium swingarm can be installed on rtr .
@ all - btw whats the cost for stock rtr 180 swingarm ?

It's Good that You didn't get much harm in the accident. Feels a lot sad when You see the bike in such a condition, right?
By the way, bike seems to have skidded for a bit long, as the damage seems too much! Shifting the tanks and all that! And as said in earlier post, even I don't think fabrics are covered in Insurance.Last edited by Mirhawk; 10-31-2011, 08:16 PM.Apache RTR 180 Bike Parts CatalougeOriginally posted by MirhawkI couldn't repair the Brakes, so I just made the Horn more louder!

ARE @ Pune - 17 Oct 2011
Guys, I got chance to visit Pune ARE event
. Following are few pics of it. I know its really late to post them... But was not in town in between these days.
In my opinion the event was organized well but track on which it was organize ruined the show.
Track was very small and was a perfect square in shape. It had four turns of 90 degree (at riders left) and straight line was very short
.
TVS showcased RTR 250 which was motocross bike, and a bike with Pro Kite installed.
Actual Race pics are below,
