Guy's, i've just started using Joel's FFE. Kindly check out the link for a review.
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

Warming up the engine, for about 2 minutes after you start the bike will also be helpful in avoiding this problem...
Carb Tuning? My bike is 6 months old only, done 3.5k on ODO. Isn't it too early? Also, I do warm up engine at begining, but bike get,s cut off then too sometimes.

        • @rtrlover-any changes in the top end????because top is the only thing RTR needs!!! a true speed of 133-135 would be really great!!

Haven't tested it yet. A tuned FFE alone won't increase a bike's top speed much. It mainly brings down the time needed to get there.

Yes, true. I don't think its gonna increase the top whack anyhow. But, using the acceleration gain, you can play with the sprockets to increase the top end by sacrificing the "gain" in acceleration you got because of FFE, if you want the increase to show up in the top whack instead of acceleration.

Of the many goodies offered by Joel for series RTR, would like to try racing valve springs and camshaft in future.

I think, it will. Even with the stock gearing one could reach speeds of up to 138kph. But not all of us do anything above 125-130kph on our stock bikes. I think with a FFE it will make those numbers come faster.

PS: My friend was able to hit 135kph on my RTR a month back. So, please neglect the posts in which I complained about my sufferings related to bike's top; it might be because I chicken out too soon. !
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

I too had the same problem. gone with fork alignment on lathe. try discussing with svc. does the bike pull to one side when you leave your hands off the handlebar? Try this only on a straight smooth and deserted road.

Everyday she through new challenges for me. The latest one seems more like a disaster then challenge to me.

A TIGHTLY TUCKED BROKEN SPARK PLUG IN THE CYLINDER HEAD.

I was having hiccup problems so after checking and cleaning the spark plug while i was putting it back in the cylinder head and when it was almost in, when applied a little force to complete the turns, it started freely moving and when i pulled it ahaaa the spark plug is broken and so I AM.

Will go to a mech tomorrow and check what could be done.
                            Any suggestions.....
I guess you would have to take off the head and get the plug out by boring on a lathe. make sure you get the svc to get it done through a good workshop if it comes to that.

                            • Hi All,

Recently my apache HE is having some issues. The top speed has gone down.
Its not even able to cross 100km/hr with ease, like its taking too much time and you can feel there is some kind of difficulty. What might be the reason?
                              Please help me on this.
