Check it out again purposely, carefully. I've hardly seen any RTR even in market whose rear fender is perfectly aligned.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostNo no no no ........ Fine with mine

Check it everyday (almost), you are right in saying that most of RTRs rear is slightly mis-aligned.....mine actually comes in the exception...... I try to save the rear from accidents and people brushing through it. If you want I can post a pic too!!Originally posted by Garry_Menace View PostCheck it out again purposely, carefully. It costs Rs. 17/-, Part no. N9215570.
Edit: There was a new mrp sticker on it, looks like the old price was 17 and the new one is Rs. 18/- Also it's called the 'Illuminationring' [sic].
Yes, you need to take out the rear side panel and all those. But relatively easy if you have the proper tools.Originally posted by shivank View PostThanks for sharing.
This obviously requires taking out the whole tail lamp section. Can it be seldom done or requires experienced hands? And one more thing, the rear-fender is slightly misaligned in my bike. Any solution for that one too...
First disconnect the connector going to the brake lamps, remove the grab rails, the nuts holding down the side panel, two screws under the panel, and the nut that holds the top of the said 'bracket fender top'. Then you can slide out the whole thing out the back. I removed all these to install the new side panels I bought, then saw that this was broken. So went and got that and changed the whole thing.

Hello
Hello People i recently got my Alloys and exhaust changed under warranty as i could find traces of rust on my exhaust and the alloys were just leaving colour.Though i wasnt interested in changing the alloys it was changed but the problem is that it has been shabbily fitted and my front tire wouldnt fit the alloy and had to put a tube in it.Anyways i think i need to change my cone set too as its making noise even after adjusting it many tinmes and also had some issue with the chain and sprocket but my chain was dipped in oil and kept for a day so its fine as of now.Need some help from you guys,Need to paint my alloys golden and want suggestions as to where i can get it painted in Mumbai.I would also like to know whether a bike which has clocked 11000kms should have a cone set issue and if the chain was going up and down like /\/\/\ this was dipped in oil and the problem has been solved but is it an issue with the sprocket going bad.Thank you....To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person u are.......

is there a catalogue where all parts of the RTR are mentioned?
I might need a few more components on the lock set.Apache 180

Thanks for the compliment Sirjee.I experienced the same thing mentioned above.20w50 would exhibit better cooling properties than 20w40 but the engine would not rev as freely as it would with 20w40. However, the difference will be minor. But yes,the 20W50 goes well with the twin cylindered Ninja..If used during summers, 20w50 would perform better in terms of cooling but if used during winters, cold starting may be a problem and engine would rev less freely.Anyways, removed the Motul and poured Shell AX-7 yesterday!Originally posted by psr View PostWhat you have observed about the oil is correct...When I tried a 20w50 mineral in Karizma the bike was quick till 60 Kmph ,but after that became lazy to rev, though was able to do 110 Kmph, it took more time to reach the speed. The difference was the bike was not able to rev as quickly as when 20w40 was in the engine...
Presently running with HONDA 20w40 made by Tide water oil co., and seems to be as good as the Gulf pride 4T 20w40..

Go to any service center's parts dept. and ask for your bike model's parts manual/catalogue. If you're lucky they might let you photocopy/scan it too!Originally posted by saipranav View PostThanks a LOT dude,

I think NO.I am close to 10k kms on my odo and never had I seen the cone set going loose till now.Its a good practice to grease the cone set,front/rear wheel bearing, swing arm bushes after some 10k-11k kms so that the components last longer as well for a smoother ride.Originally posted by A4D View PostI would also like to know whether a bike which has clocked 11000kms should have a cone set issue
