Sry abt that!!! Will try to be regular but kept up by reading some 100 odd pages... Was too busy with other life... Itseems my mom loves my bike still more than me. Thanks for info.. Would you recommend it to me, guys? Itz my 1st bike(1st vehicle too) and was nvr a bike enthusiast until my mom got my bike for me...Originally posted by sreehari_r1 View PostYou are not up to date.. keep visiting the forum regularly, as you are the owner of the first bike from Bangalore.
I still remember your mom's face at the first day of booking...
Sorry for the delay in replying..
K&N air filter will help the bike to breath properly and don't expect an improvement in performance..... Easy to change/clean as it is factory size...
I got it from Bangalore for 4.5 K
No idea about oil filter...

This K&N is good for the bike. Alternatively, use the OEM filter by cleaning regularly. But no idea how good/bad will be the filtering.

Have a question - pardon me if it's silly.
I've read about a lot of guys buying K&N air filters for their bikes - but I've also heard that the bikes would need some adjustments, both in the engines and exhaust systems to actually benefit from the use of these hi-end filters. Is that true? And if so, what kind of adjustments?

Congrats. But cant see the pics man!Originally posted by TorqueMaster View Postits here finally!!!

I think it shouldnt be such an issue for FI engines. Certainly need adjustment on carburetted systems because of the static A/F mixture mapping.Originally posted by Sunnyside_up! View PostHave a question - pardon me if it's silly.

Are you sure or are you guessing? Sorry buddy, no offence but whoever I've asked so far has not given me a concrete reply - I keep getting conflicting answers. And what abt the exhaust system - no work required there?
If you're guessing, do you know someone who will know for sure?

the 250R does not require any manual adjustments for the KnN filter
The ECU automatically adjusts itself.Smoke rubber, not tobacco.

There are no adjustments needed for a K&N filter on a FI Ninja 250. All the stuff found on the internet related to issues/adjustments is limited to the carb version 250 only. So unless your bike is a carb Ninja, you have nothing to worry about.
But Bajaj will scream 'warranty void' if you put a K&N filter.

+1 to that. There are so many cars which are running around with K&N Filters and full system exhausts (including mine) but none of them (including mine) have had any adjustments of any sort.Originally posted by bluevolt View PostThere are no adjustments needed for a K&N filter on a FI Ninja 250.
