Definitely agree. The Pirellis are way better than the stock IRCs. Much better grip.Originally posted by bluevolt View PostIf you are not afraid, you have probably chosen too easy a mountain to climb!!

By default the one light glows all the time and acts as the low beam, the other one can be switched on to act as high beam. Both are 55W.

You changed the Pirelli SD @ 16k or the IRC?Originally posted by bluevolt View PostChanged the rear at 16,000 km. Right the bike is at 25,000 kms and the tyre can take 5000 more. So I think there is no difference in the life of the Pirellis vs the IRC. And after riding 9,000 kms on Pirellis, I can say that IRC sucks.
I was under the impression that the PSD's only last 12-13k?
and yeah IRC's are very inferior to the Pirelli's.Smoke rubber, not tobacco.

Changed the IRC's at 17250 Kilometers (Both Front & Rear). Have run 3500 Kilometers on Pirelli Sport Deamon in a variety of tarmacs, I could vouch for Pirelli's. And i feel Pirelli's seem to wear out faster.Photo Gallery[/B]

yes, at around 9k rpm the engine feels like it wants more, it revs and keeps on revving surprisingly smoothly at very high rpms as well. this high rpm smoothness i am sure you will find lacking in the CBR, but let me know when u test ride it.Originally posted by soojy007 View Post@ toolkit - acceleration is linear - yea i do, understand - but at higher rpms there is definitely kick in back/jerking neck feel , rt?.
i will take a test ride on baby ninja and baby blade which is more off a sports tourer than mini superbike i guess, this week and seek help if required.
I don't think Bajaj will let you test ride the ninja though.

I am not so sure about that. The MRF's may work brilliantly on the lighter R15, but the same tyres may struggle to provide the required grip on the much heavier 250R. I would actually think the IRC's are probably as soft a compound, if not softer, than the MRF's on the new R15.Originally posted by tibby View PostI have read quite a bit of grip related issues with the stock IRC tyres for the Ninja250 here. The R15 Version 2.0 with soft compound tyres (like the earlier version) will definitely give much better grip, but will obviously wear out faster.

Changed the stock IRC's at 16k. So the Pirelli's have done 9k already and can go another 5 k more.Originally posted by RanjithMN View PostYou changed the Pirelli SD @ 16k or the IRC?

importing ninja aftermarket equipment
I am not sure this is the right place for this post. Mods request you to move it to the appropriate one if wrong.
I am looking to buy an aftermarket slip-on exhaust, helmet (already bought), touring boots (already bought) and some led lights for my ninjette back in India (im coming in from the US and will be going back).
I was hoping someone could help me with the customs charges I will be looking at for each of these items. I did try googling it but could not find anything.
Thanks.
