there wont be any issues with any kind of fuel as long as it is unadultered and is 91 octane fuel...just clean the radiator using water(not high pressured) and tooth brush..

its a lesson for ninja owners not to have too much wash with professional service stations with no idea of super bikes. a dirty bike is always better than a clean unsafe bike.

the only place you can use diesel on a ninja is on the chain to wash it.
I do not think that his bike will be in so much trouble ,until the pads have absorbed the oil ..

When i recently got my bike serviced.. the polishing guys polished the metal of the disc and I was too facing this .. asked prasanna so he said to wash it and use it for few kms and the bike will be fine..

Have also tried this couple of time earlier.. and things work well.

@Malpotra: in case this still does not work fine. then get it check at PBK

please don't confuse the disk and the pads. i mean the pads are weak now due to diesel wash. any diesel/oil into the pads they are there come what may. your disk is no problem to any wash as it is steel / CF etc etc.

DOT 3 brake fluid is also fine. The ninja owners manual and the brake fluid reservoir cap also suggests DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid.

I got my brakes bled and the brake lines were filled with fresh DOT3 fluid. It is important that the brake fluid container is sealed. ALWAYS fill from a fresh sealed container. Did a ride to chennai and back over the long weekend and i faced no issues.

On another note, the bike delivered 27kmpl on the way to chennai and on the way back to Blore she delivered around 24-25kmpl. I was riding hard on the way back, shifting at 12000 rpm and that explains why the mileage dropped (i normally shift at 10k rpm). I covered Chennai to Shoolagiri (around 300 kms) in less than 3 hours.

Saw a black 250R in chennai with an Akrapovic CF end can and it sounded insane. Was popping at 5k rpm and had a deep bassy note. Lovely music. The bike was new and had less than 5k kms on the clock.

Could you please post a break-up of the prices for this exhaust, as in MRP, import duties, etc.?

Is this a full system or a slip-on? One can get a slip on in the luggage and probably not end up paying duties, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Regarding selling your exhaust, i meant to say, if you ever want to sell, anytime in the future, do let me know.

Well not that i intend to do something like this but was only thinking aloud. I'm nowhere close to visiting a foreign country.

I know that a lot of my buddies get stuff down like this. Stuff ranging from riding jackets, boots, to even tires. I even know one ninja owner who got a full system down in his check in baggage... no questions asked.

I guess you just pay the customs guys if you get stopped. It's not like you're carrying weapons or drugs or some illegal material.

                          • ^^ if you are getting a slip on from abroad, all you need to do is carry the relevant billing for it. even if you are stopped/checked, you can declare the bill, and pay the relevant duty on it.

                            • Every individual can bring goods for personal use upto Rs.25,000/- So if you bring in full exhaust system and if all the items that you are bringing in cost less than 25k, you can walk out from green channel

                                That is for electronic goods.
But for other stuff like gold, home appliences etc.. it isn't like that.

I got my AreaP full system by luggage. It was a seperate piece - box covered with bubble wrap. No probs.
