your battery is everything as far as ninja electric side goes. if your battery is exposed to extreme cold, it will not have sufficient watts to start the bike. the same is for any battery left in cold. so the remedy is to warm up the battery like leaving the bike in the sun for an hour or so/ else remove the battery and take it inside your warm room for an hour then refix and start. other way is to cover the battery with some insulating material during night parking. moral of the story keep your battery within the rated temp for optimal performance.

See I always park my baby in my garage and there has been few instances where I have left her there for as long as 3 weeks before starting her. As 3 weeks is too much, she would stutter but would eventually start as I persist. But never such a thing has happened that she would take 15 minutes to come to life. It's usually on the first try or the second that I hear her sweet sound.

And what would be its drawing voltage?

The reason i'm asking is coz i'm quite disappointed with the life of the headlight bulb used in P220.. So i'm checking if the power ratings are the same then i'll plonk in this one in the projector as the stock one is also 55W

One bulb costs in excess of 850 bucks so you may need to rethink about plonking it in your P220.

Well i've already spent some 600 in replacing the bulb twice and Aditya had checked the cost. It costs around 600. The stock bulb has ditched me twice in my long rides so thinking of next change as this one.. Cost might be the same but reliability is what is there in my mind..

I ride with headlight switched on so i guess each time the low beam bulb lasted for approx 10k km of usage..

Why not put in Fiat Palio bulb? Its specs are exactly same as Ninja's and I have been using it for more than a year. It is a straight fit. Costs approx. 250.

Well thanks for the pointer.. will check out this option as well.

when you say similar specs the color of the light beam is also the same. Right? coz i'm looking for a stock yellowish shade and not the whitish one..

Then there's a problem with your electrical circuit. I've never had a fused bulb so far. So if you put a Ninja/Palio bulb also it will fuse over time.

You sure the Palio bulbs are any good?

I ditched the stock bulbs on my Palio and went for Narva's straightaway!

I used Philips bulb which is sold as replacement bulb for palio. I don't know whether the stock bulb is Philips or not. I am using it for last more than 1 year and as you know, low beam light is always running. Still not yet fused.

Hi TV, are the palio bulbs the same specs as the ninja bulbs? Please share the specs of the palio bulbs.

I spoke to one of the engineers at bajaj and he said the ninja bulbs cost more since they have some protective coating which does not cause the reflector/lens/housing to yellow/fade over time due to the heat from the bulbs.

I'm yet to replace the bulb which is another weekend away. Also on the ninjette.org forum a lot of riders recommend the Philips Extreme Vision but i can't seem to find them here.

                            Any pointers anyone?

                            • I have ordered a HID kit for my baby, they were giving a 55% discount and it's cost is less than the rear tyre hugger. Let them come and then I will see whether its the right choice or not. Fingers crossed!

12 V 55 W. They are exactly the same looking bulb. Now if ninja bulbs have any invisible coating etc., I do not know. However, in last one year, it has not caused reflector/lens/housing to yellow/fade over time due to the heat from the bulbs.
