Thanks mate. It took me a few days to complete the review. Luckily today, about an hour ago I crossed the 800 mark. And the bike has started to become fun.

Keep patient and wait till the run in is over. Then the real fun starts. All others would be eating the Ninja's dust or better still be smaaaallllll dots in your RVM.

Best part of your post is the uncle keeping the DZire as collateral for the ninja. Just too hilarious. what jokers.

Where did you pick up the tank pad from and how much did it cost?

      P.S. Ride safe bro.
Thanks .. nice to know that you liked my literary endeavours.

I got the tank pad from ebay. Its an Orbital Kawasaki Clear Tank pad.

After spending hours on the internet, I got the best deal here:

TANK PROTECTOR PAD - KAWASAKI CLEAR/CARBON FIBER : eBay Motors (item 380202540880 end time Apr-01-10 06:22:34 PDT)

      Delivery in 9 days.

I liked the way it was told. The chef is all said to zoom on the Ninja in standing mode . Next time round you should have “Bisi Belle Bhatt” instead of egg fried rice, lighter by weight. Yeh, nothing like having Bangalore filter coffee in those ultra small steel cups. I miss them here in Pune.
The uncleji incident was superb and also the test ride. Here it is ok, to take a test ride by others the moment you get a new bike. I had to give my new bike on several occasions as they just asked for the bike keys and then they go zoom. It becomes difficult for me to say no to my dear ones (Several of them). But the best part here is every day I get at least 15-20 hand signs that my Ninja Headlights are on. While, I am on the move I thank them by giving a quick nod but at the signals / parking areas I educate them in polite words that this bike once started the lights are on (day / night). My answer shocks them sometime.
In your bike snaps / other too, I see the helmet placed on the driver’s / pillion’s seat. One touch to the bike / helmet, the helmet will hit the ground and effectively the helmet becomes useless, technically as it has fallen from ~3’ height. I keep an old news paper on the ground and then place the helmet on it. I am trying to figure out if I can use the two hooks below the pillion rider’s seat. And secure this with the rope / hook unit.
More to hear from you, I would suggest you can head north and try out the NH4 Hubli-Belgaum-Kolhapur. The road is like “Beene (Butter)”.
      Keep riding, Drive safe!
      Thanks DesertFox.

Whenever somebody (read friends no Uncleji ) asks for a test ride, I ask them to wait till the breakin period is over and they understand.

Lot of things about this bike is difficult for people to understand, be it price, headlights or even the fact that this is ONLY 250 cc. And it gets really boring to explain the difference between it and a pulsar 220, zma or a bullet.

You are right about the helmet, but due to lack of space while taking the pics, that was the only place I found. Though I made sure it was sitting firmly on the seat... but still a small nudge would bring it down.

      NH4 here I come

        • Hi All,

Where can i get a bike cover for my ninja in Bangalore. The probiking & Khivraj guys dont have them. Looks like SP or JC road. Does anyone have a particular shop they can point me too, i have no intention of traversing the length & breadth of both these roads.

I was using an RE cover for the first few days which was ok ... not a perfect fit but worked.

But now I got the cover I ordered from ebay. Cost me just 710 bucks. The material is quite thin .. which is a good thing coz I can carry it to office easily.

            Delivered in around 10 days.

            Chk it out>

              • To All Bangalore Ninja Owners,

Do all the bills/taxex/ex showroom price add up to 3.10-3.11 lakhs, Mine adds up to the initial price of 3,04,665. Does anyone have the same problem.I have paid a total of Rs 3,11,412. However the breakups are

                Road/Lifetime tax - 29636
                Insurance - 5186
                Ex Showroom - 269415
                Total - 3,04,237

In another receipt it says (Reg+lifetime tax + Insurance) - 41250

Does that mean registration is Rs 7175???? Do i need to get the receipt for the same??

Has Khivraj missed to give me a receipt ??

                Comment

                • You should go and ask Khivraj for a refund of the balance amount if it does not add up. I noticed your road tax amount is lower than what I paid (Rs.35,563) and you probably paid for the bike before I did, which means your registration was done before the new increase came into effect.

In my case, it adds up to 3.10 something.

                      • AS far as I know, the Rs. 35,563 amount I paid includes road tax and RC. I missed my RC smart card since the post was undelivered due to my road trip

Will have to ask Khivraj to get it for me from the RTO...

There is a difference of Rs.500 too, maybe that is registration. I missed my speed post, so dunno till I see it.

Even my bills didn't add up. I told this to Janaki when I took the delivery. He said he would get it sorted out, but he is away right now. Even I have to get this cleared when he comes back.
