Ok bro,Let us know the final result after stealing the 7Ah battery, because many ZMR owners are waiting for a battery mod.

@Aneesh: As you must have heard or read, PGMFi means fuel injection is programmable, and ZMR has six sensors already programmed to sense and inject fuel in engine, one of the sense is for the throttle (which is supported by battery power) Throttle--> pump--> injector, as we give throttle the fuel is injected in engine, try it at your end by giving full throttle (before starting bike), hold it and then give self to engine, you might see the results , now here when the bike won’t start, just wait for a while and try to give self without throttle.

ZMR don’t have Choke, just because of the above factor, if you bike refuses to start (cold start problem), then try to give a little of throttle and then self, throttle does the job of Choke.

No bro u cant do that! The bike wont start without the battery. Even if ur bike's engine is on and you disconnect ur batt ur engine dies off. And the fuel pump thing is completely correct the ECU checks the temprature, and hence opens up the fuel to the engine. Hence during the winters ur bike usually starts without any issues as the fuel pump provides the necessary fuel to start the engine.

            Buddy,

Do not change to OSRAM NightBreaker bulb immediately with the new battery.
Let the new battery get used to the electricals & et all.

Change at least after a fortnight or so.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Thanks guys,Thanks for clearing my big doubt. Everything runs under battery power still don't know why HH changed the battery to a lower Ah one.

Still the ZMR does not have a Lambda sensor, known as O2 sensor to know EXACTLY how much Oxygen is present in the exhaust and adjust fuel injection...
The Alternator of ZMR produces 230watts of power against 188 of ZMA...So the battery is there to buffer the voltage and give the start energy...after which the alternator takes over much like the CARS..
The ZMA and ZMR both have magnet excited alternator, which means it can generate power once it starts to rotate...unlike a car alternator, whose exciter coils must get the energy from battery to start producing the energy.
You can kick start a ZMA without battery ....

In my ZMA the tank is rusted at exactly the same place. It was because the drainage hole present near the tank was blocked. You can ask the svc guys to check the same by blowing air into it.
Pardon me if ZMR doesn't feature the same

Amit your are right , the paint issue is due to drainage block . I got same problem , the drainage pipe under tank is blocked so i got my petrol tank colour removed , shown to HH SVC they replaced the tank with new
