  • The awesome new mudguard

I just took pics of my bike (with split hugger and half-open chain case). This one looks way better than the first model

obviously the bike now looks much better. But the mud guard should have been made more sharper as in the in indonesian version.

the small curved flap is not the part of the whole mudguard actually its a small curved piece bolted to the mudguard with 3 bolts.remove the bolt and it will come off and you will get the indonesian like mudgard .A 2 min job.

            • Bad news for owners again!!

Bad news for owners once again.. It appears now that the 135LS was released without enough R&D done on it.

After the oil filter leak problem that many owners including me had, yesterday, it gave me a brand new surprise. A broken bolt holding the silencer to the engine!

One of the two bolts connecting the silencer to the engine just broke of mid way and half of the bolt is inside the engine casing. I took it to the service center today and as expected, they told me that they will have to open up the engine to remove the broken piece and that it is covered under warranty. I'm am really dissapointed to have to open up the engine when only 3.3K has been done on the odo. When I inquired further if this was a common problem, he told me that mine was the third bike in the last few months that had the same problem.

From what I suspect, it's due to the excessive vibration/heat produced buy the engine which results in this. however, I do suspect the quality of the bolt used as well. I'm taking it to the service center tomorrow for them to start the work.

I'll be uploading some pics once I take them.

              • Care for new bike

                Hi All,

                I bought 135LS this weekend.
Please suggest the extra care that i should take in the initial period.

--> Last evening the low battery indicator was blinking..and this morning it stopped showing that low battery sign.
what can be the reason for that.

Don't panic, it's very normal with this bike. Only reason I can think of is that electrolyte in battery is above the maximum mark. You don't need to worry about this unless electric start isn't working for you. Anyways, just to clear your doubt.. you can get the battery checked at svc. Just follow the manual .. till you complete 2000 kms.. try to keep it smooth.. be it throttle or clutch or applying brake.

That's really a bad experience.. we are certainly not paying for things like this. Do post the pics of it.. How did the bolt got broken!! I don't think there is excessive vibration in the engine and above normal heat is anyway expected from Bajaj engines.

Not supporting any manufacturer...but then there were many cases where brand new machines from all known manufacturers had engine issues, broken rings, broken exhaust baffles, bad bearings...the list is endless.

Do we conclude that all these are products that were released with bad R&D? There will be issues with some pieces and that is more because of some bad quality component playing spoilsport. That is all what we can conclude.

Yes, when a problem such a horrible gear box has been persistent for several years on pulsar bikes ever since the original pulsar, and not fixing it till now is called bad R&D. I like bajaj bikes for their ingenuity but their horrible product quality compared to brands like Honda(Not Hero Honda) and Yamaha is questionable when a new product has multiple points of failure.

As for the pics, here they are:

But, I don't think there is any gear box problem with P135LS!! just checkout Twister's thread.. oil leakage from rear suspension was reported and dead spark plug was reported on Dazzler's thread. May be you are aware of alloys bending on FZ-16's..

I can understand your anguish as something bad happened with your bike, but don't just generalize that to all bajaj bikes or all pulsars, that's just too much.

I don't know why everyone is attacking me all of a sudden. For everyone's clarification, this is my 3rd Bajaj bike. First the original pulsar 150, then the 180Dtsi and now the 135, so if you think I'm just complaining because of anguish, please introspect your thoughts as I have every right to blast Bajaj on their shoddy quality. So, you might ask why did I bother buying so many bajaj bikes? the answer to that is there in my previous post.

No, the 135LS gearbox is no where near to perfect, it has the same problems or even worse than the original 150 had.

Just because other bike models has more problems than Bajaj, does that make Bajaj better? Two Bad's won't make a good. Especially, be careful when you are comparing actual manufactured product to parts sourced from other providers. Things like Alloy wheels, or suspension or spark plugs are not made by the company themselves, but outsourced from parts suppliers unlike main engine components and parts which directly point to the quality of the entire product.

Now that's something I find hard to believe.. I felt that the gearshift quality of the P135LS was better than even the faultless gearbox of my P220 Fi.

Let me see if I can forward your case to some service guys from BAL (I still have some mail ids from my initial P220 Fi days). Kindly provide the Reg. and engine number of your bike.

Why don't you post the Photo of your bike with yourself in it as well.
