To add to it all, both the tyres are going almost bald (esp. Rear one).

Thanks for your kind advices. I'm riding within bike's (degraded) limits nowadays.
That will be good be good to ride slow as your bike is not at full health. Keep riding duddy.

These days I am riding quite fast as my new office is little more far away and I have to cover more distance in same time.

you can also find someone who can powercoat it for you, it'll give it a brushed look, and you can have it in any colour.

          • 400kms "dRy" chain report

It's been 400kms now since i'm running on completely dry chain (read no lubing whatsoever) i last cleaned it with kerosene and then applied coconut oil using cotton just to avoid the rust formation that looks bad on the standing bike.

            PROS:
            1. Superbly clean looking chain, spanking silver.
            2. Nil sludge deposits, only attracts dust, which can be get rid off by spraying water.
            3. The rollers are rolling freely, because of no oil, hence no sludge (it took me good
15mins to examine each roller individually)
            4. Clean front and rear sprocket.

            CONS:
Just one, the chain makes little more noise compared to the lubed one.

Won't that make chain heat up (due to friction) and may damage o-rings?

well if it'll be doin that, i'll change it....
cuz the way chain looks this way, is really good, and it saves me lot of time when i clean it once a week.

                • My bike is RTR 2008 and has chain guard covered.
Is less aesthetic but protects it very well the chain of the dust (it's like sandpaper) and others elements.
I installed NGK Iridium spark plug but I do not know what high-performance wire (cable) I can install
What brand and what coil can use?

You guys have the experience and and you are my counselors (teachers).

                  Gracias.

                        • Today was coming home from Badlapur and was ripping a bit i tried to shift down from 4th-3rd but it did not happen and suddenly bike felt like its in Neutral (N) while was doing 70-72 kmph . is it False Neutral ..?
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

This is called coming in "in between" that leaves you with no gear, generally happens when the lever is not tapped with the required force, shift at the wrong RPM, shift done without blipping the throttle..

keep in mind these points to avoid the same.

                            • First Crash on RTR

Today on commute to office, i was riding behind BMC truck. And suddenly, found myself crashed on right side. That truck driver ran away. On analysys, found that diesel was leaking from the truck, because of which i slept. I was wearing jacket, gloves, shoes and jeans so didnt get any serious injuries( just a bruced knee).
Regarding RTR, tank and side panes was saved by knee guard(which is broken now).
                              Status of spares and cost:
                              1. side indicator: Broken-needs replacement Rs.168/-
                              2. brake lever: bent, needs replacement Rs.208/-
                              3. Brake pedal: bent, needs replacement (i straightened it by help of a pipe-saved 350 bucks).
                              4. Crash Guard: broken, needs replacement Rs.375/-
                              5. Silencer heat guard, scrached will think of replaceing-will do denting and stick a sticker (saved Rs.280/-)
                              6. Headlamp housing and reflector- will stick funky stickers cost maximum Rs.50/-. saved 1830 bucks (reflector 1300/- and housing 580/-)

sorry to hear about ur fall brother...
good to know you were wearing all the needed protection...
but ur bike took major beating, i have my leg guard lying around as i removed it, but i think postage charges will cost you the same or even more as the new one....
